Hello, I'm selling my 1996 Volvo 850 R. This car has been maintained by a certified independent Volvo mechanic that started his own garage after working for a Volvo dealer for 10 years. My family's 3 other Volvo's are also serviced with him. I've followed the factory specified maintenance religiously. I've also addressed a few common problems with this model such as replacing the engine mounts and replacing the rear main seal, a very expensive procedure that you won't have to worry about. The oil's been changed every 5,000 miles with Mobil One Synthetic by the same mechanic since I've owned the car (70,000). The interior is in pretty good shape considering the age of the vehicle, some wear on the leather and suede, but good condition overall. The sound system is phenomenal and will be what I miss most about the car. All of the features of the car still function (i.e. heated seats, power mirrors etc.) This car will need brake work at its next oil change as the front brakes are on their last leg, the rears have been replaced recently.
