I purchased this car from an acquaintance around 7 years ago. The previous owner used it as a commuter car in the Portland area and drove it until the motor froze up. I have not had the time to start any restoration and need to get it out of my barn. It's been in covered storage as long as I have owned it. The car is a German made with a 2 cylinder air cooled motor and 4 speed trans. It's shows no signs of being in a collision (structural damage repairs). Here is a list of the obvious problems or defects I have observed: The trunk opens rough as is catches on the cowl Upper bar on front bumper is bent There is no key with the car Car has numerous dents and dings - the passenger side is the straightest. Tire are cracked and need replaced, but hold air for a week or two. Drivers side floor pan is rusted through in spots and there is rust in other areas of cabin floor Hydraulic brakes are inoperative but parking brake holds. Top end of motor has been disassembled (camshaft and related components) and parts are in a box. Seats are poor condition The doors open and close fine and the glass in all in good shape without cracks. Drivers and passenger windows roll up and down. Repair manual included as shown in picture.
