Vehicle Detail

It is with great sadness that I put my Porsche 911 up for sale. I have too many cars in the stable and this one will be the one to go. I bought this 1975 911S over 2 years ago and modified it to be an IROC replica. It is a rare 911S non-sunroof model that originally came with power windows and sport seats. I repainted it continental orange, a 3.2 was installed with carbs, and the car was lightened and strengthened to be a street legal and track ready car. It is a fun, simple car thats gets a lot of attention due to the beautiful color. Some of the modifications are as follows. Suspension: Bilstein RSR front struts (revalved) Rebel Racing Rear Coilovers with Bilstein sport shocks 425 lb front springs, 550 lb rear springs Tarrett Engineering front monoball camber plates Elephant Racing polybronze bushings in the front, monoballs in the rear Weltmeister bump steer & turbo tie rod kit Racer's Group swaybars (24mm front, 25mm rear) Wevo Rear billet swaybar mount Front RSR Strut brace Front Alloy crossmember & control arms from a 1986 carrera Brakes: Front & Rear 996 Carrera Brake calipers & rotors Instant-G Brake Adapters & front hubs Rennspeed Racing pedals 23mm master cylinder & Stainless Steel Braided brake lines Interior: Sparco Evo 2 Plus with Recaro Sliders, Brey Krause mounts Momo steering wheel with quick release hub 6 point rollcage with Nascar bars on both sides Longacre Panoramic Rear view mirror RS America Door Panels Schroth 6 point harnesses 4 nozzle fire extinguisher system Exterior: Front metal 9" turbo fenders Rennspeed Rear Fiberglass 11" fender flares Rennspeed IROC Fiberglass bumpers Rennspeed Fiberglass IROC tail H4 Headlights with Airplex headlight covers Tow Eyes (front & rear) Fikse 18x9" front wheels, 18x11" rear wheels Engine: 3.2 liter Carrera engine from a 1986 car 46mm PMO Carburetors & manifold kit 911 2.7 RS Distributor with Pertronix Ignitor Summit Racing CD Ignition (like MSD 6AL) & MSD High Vibration coil 8222 Mallory 4309 Fuel Pressure Regulator Carter P4070 fuel pump Fuel Safe 17 gallon fuel cell 1 5/8" headers & M&K GT3 2 in 2 out muffler Patrick Motorsports Oil Catch Can kit Drivetrain: 915 transmission Sachs Power clutch kit WEVO semi-solid engine & transmission mounts Wevo Short shifter & shift coupler Not including the purchase price of the car, I have ~$31,000 in parts and ~$74,000 in labor in this car. The wheels cost over $4k, the fuel cell $2.5k, the RSR struts $2k for the set, the seats $2k, etc. Body work alone cost $6.5k, and it shows! Send me a message if you want to see the build list with specific prices. The 3.2 is very healthy and due to the carbs and headers the car definitely has significantly more power than a stock 3.2, roughly 260 horsepower if I had to guess. Also, the car weighs only about 2,150 pounds due to the fiberglass and the lack of luxury items, so it is very fast. If you want a fun, reliable car that gets stares everywhere, this is the car for you! The car has a clear title, drive it away today. As this is a racecar, although it is street legal there is no radio and the carbs are not the easiest to live with on the street. The car is VERY happy over 3,000 rpm, but with the carbs and the heavy clutch it is not the most pleasant experience in traffic. That being said, I have driven the car only about 80 miles since completing it in the beginning of this year (once on the track) and it has been driven in the city for a few of those miles. This is not a concours show vehicle, it was designed to be a good looking race car. Therefore, there are a few things that are not 100% perfect. Specifically, the hazard flashers need a new relay, the front strut brace could have used cleaner welds, there is a small paint chip on the hood from some track debris (exceedingly small, about 1/4 the size of a fingernail, just want to make sure it's disclosed), and there is a hole in the rear bumper that can be easily fixed with fiberglass cloth from the inside. This car would cost over $100k to build and only has 80 miles on it since being built. Car is located in Queens, NY. Buyer must arrange shipping, the car will not be delivered with plates or insurance. A $1,000 deposit is due through paypal 48 hours after the auction end, and the balance is due 7 days after auction end. RESERVE IS UNDER $16,000. Note: I may use the seats and the fuel cell for another project, in which case I will deduct $1,500 from the selling price. The car will then be sold with factory black 911 SC seats and fuel tank.On Apr-22-10 at 10:48:18 PDT, seller added the following information: Some additional things I forgot: The car comes with a front mount oil cooler to prevent the car from running hot. All fuel lines were replaced with new stainless steel braided lines. The car come with a kill switch (with alternator protection) and there are pull handles for the kill switch and the extinguisher in front of the windshield. There is a lock on the extinguisher pull to prevent it from being accidentally triggered. On Apr-22-10 at 14:24:52 PDT, seller added the following information: Also: The 915 transmission is from a 1978 SC and was rebuilt a few years ago with the stronger bearing retainer plate and a 60% limited slip differential (LSD). It shifts and drives well with no grinding. On Apr-22-10 at 16:59:52 PDT, seller added the following information: Last comment, I will NOT keep the seats and the fuel cell for another project. The seats and fuel cell go with the car and there will be no deduction in the price. The winning bidder will get the car at the winning bid. Sorry for the confusion.
