Up for auction is this 1958 Buick Special 2 door hardtop. It is pretty complete, just missing headlights, left headlight trim, wipers, visors, radiator, and maybe a few other little items. The car's sheetmetal is really straight, with very little rust. The hood has the only major dent in it. The floor pans look to be solid. This car has been in western Nebraska and we have very little rust problems here. The front winshield is good, other than a light wiper mark that should polish out. The back glass is good. The side glasses will need replaced. The odometer shows 68000 miles on it. The radio is missing. It probably has the original V8 motor in it, the automatic transmission, and rearend. The bumpers are straight and the chrome fairly nice on the front. The grille is in excellent shape. Overall this would make a nice car to restore being this complete. The orange and white exterior and orange and white interior would look really sharp. Most of the stainless trim on the car is fairly nice shape. There is a few pieces that will need some attention. This would make a nice street rod also, as there was one in Street Rodder issue August or October's 2009. There is no title but a bill of sale will be provided.
