Vehicle Detail

A Rare 1970 Dodge Challenger Big Block 383 Western Sport Special at No Reserve This is a story of a true garage find. In Oakland, California remained this Dodge Challenger. Sitting in the garage since the late 80's. Alway's asked by the public if it was for sale, when the garage door was open. The answer was alway's no, as it was to hard to part with it. The original owner held on to it for as long as she could in'till recent. This is not just a Rare find but a Rare car. Up For Sale for the very first time since 1970 at 5 Day's with No Reserve . . . This is a True 1970 Dodge Challenger Western Sport Special Big Block 383/727. Only 381 Big Block WSS's were produced making this one of them. Built in Los Angeles and remained it's entire life in Oakland, CA. Never to seen snow or ice. This is a real California Mopar. Still has the original Blue plate in front. Factory option's are : Western Sport Special Package - A91 383 2bbl - L Code / E63 H-D A-727 TorqueFlite Trans - D32 Bright Red - FE5 Black Vinyl Top - V1X High Black Buckets - H6X9 Air Conditon - H51 Power Steering Console SE Moldings - A63 Wide Sill Molding - M25 Roof Drip Moldings - M21 Left Hand Painted Mirror -G43 Belt Molding - M31 AM w/ 8 Track - R22 26 Inch Raditor - NOX Exhaust Emission Control - N95 Bumper Guards The body has only been painted once leaving the jamb's, trunk & engine compartment original paint. The Floor's have never had any work done and are in pretty good shape, solid floors. The body remain's all original panel's. The driver fender and door has a some damage. Driver door & hood does open and close. The trunk does have the normal center pan rust from factory trunk mat as well as the battery tray. Firewall and the rest of the body is not in bad shape. It show's that this Challenger has never been in hardcore weather. Never was in any soft ground or field. All the molding's are attach. The interior is all original execpt for the radio. I do have the original Am- 8Track to go along with it. The dash has a few cracks, headliner has opened up but all of it's original. The interior has never been restored but remains factory. The 383 does run & drives. It is tired but does run, shift & brake's. Now, the owner's family says that the engine is original. I check the casting #'s and it is correct to a 383. The bottom pad where the vin is located start's off very correct in'till you get to the last 3 digit's. It read's " 0E132380 instead of ' 0E132278. Im not sure if it was a factory mistake or etc. You make the judgment. Any Mopar help with this I would Love. Look's to be very original and complete underneathe the hood. Even has the factory hood rubber and instulation. Overall, this is a original, factory Big Block Western Sport Special 70' Challenger. It does need to be restored but not many left around in this shape. How many really you think are left unrestored ? This is A True Unrestored California Mopar. This Challenger recite's now back in his home town - Los Angeles. If you would need any other information, feel free to give me a call anytime on my cell phone at ( 562 ) 353 - 0270 anytime.
