This car is just a fixed transmission away from being a super clean, reliable, and economical (26-30+ mpg!!!)vehicle. Second owner for the past eight years, and only selling now because the transmission started acting up a few weeks ago. Not sure what exactly the transmission issue is, so got another vehicle and not driving now. So its being SOLD AS IS. Well maintained, have all receipts, and here's a list of work done since just last summer: rear shocks replaced, serpentine belt replaced, power steering fluid flushed, air filter replaced, transmission serviced & fluid flushed & filter replaced, Coolant flushed, Front brake pads/rotors replaced, brake fluid flushed, Right CV axle replaced NEW Bridgestone tires (4) heater motor and cover replaced CA registration current through October 2010 Other major stuff done over the years (in addition to all the minor stuff): front seats reupholstered rear window tinted upgraded stereo/CD/casette player power antenna added rack and pinion steering assembly replaced motor mounts replaced front struts replaced plug wires and spark plugs replaced fuel filter replaced Battery is about 2 years old now Everything on the car works (including cruise control and air conditioning) All rubber/plastic/vinyl/lenses in like-new condition, as 303 Aerospace UV Protectant used regularly on the car Gets 36 mpg on long trips, and about 26-30 mpg commuting!!! oil & filter changed every 3 months (Only mechanical issue besides transmission is the check engine light, indicating that the EGR valve never comes on. Hasn't negatively affected the smog checks, however. No effect on performance either, as there would have been were it stuck ON) AND car cover, owners manual, and shop manual included in price!
