Vehicle Detail
1957 Cadillac Fleetwood 4 Door Hardtop – Rock Solid and Nice Quality Car: This is a very solid and mostly complete 1957 Cadillac Fleetwood 4 Door Hardtop. This is an original Kansas and Texas car so the body is excellent. The only rust at all was very, very minor in the front floors, and reinforcement pans were added at some point in the past. This is not visible from underneath, and will not be seen when carpets are installed. The remaining body is excellent, but there has been some body work repair to the drivers side front fender. This was due to a dent, not rust. The car is very well equipped with the 365 V-8, Automatic, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Power Windows, Power Seats, Power Antennae, and Radio. The car starts and runs well, and will move under its own power. However, the brakes are not currently working, and transmission slips. The chrome and trim are decent, but there are a few small pieces missing. The rear bumper ends are rusted through from the exhaust, but all the remaining chrome is solid with very little pitting. The car was repainted at some point in the recent past, but it was not a very good job. The car was originally black, and the black paint can be seen along the door / chrome edges. The interior had a lot of work done to it as well. The seats have been recovered, as well as a portion of the door panels completed. The fabric is not original, but it looks presentable. This will need to be finished, as the door panels are not complete and the hardware has not been put back on. There is some extra fabric in the trunk, so this should be a fairly easy fix. Overall this is a very solid original Fleetwood that needs the restoration completed, but is a very good base to start with that is almost complete. These Fleetwoods were the Top of the Line and this is a great car for restoration. The very solid body and the fact that it runs make this an outstanding choice to start with. I will have a clear title for the new owner, as well as a Bill of Sale. I have sold several cars overseas, so International bidders feel free to participate. I would like a non-refundable $1,000.00 deposit within 3 days of the auction's end and payment in full within 10 days of the auction's end. Shipping is the sole responsibility of the buyer, but I will help with loading. If you have questions please let me know. Thanks.
