Original and beautiful '65 Ghia Coupe in excellent condition. 1 owner until 2008 and extensive service history dating back to the 70s as well as lots of recent work. Finished in a very desirable color combo - Arcona White with original Aero Red interior. This is the last year of desirable features such as the smooth painted metal dash, 'swan neck' side mirror, under the hood fuel filler cap and skinny 5-stud solid wheels. This Ghia has a good straight body with all original panels and no accident damage. Only minor dings. The nose is perfect. The car has been repainted once in its original color (a long time ago). It has a very nice finish overall and is very presentable. All the panel gaps are excellent. The floors are rock solid as is the rest of the undercarriage. All original glass in very good condition. The interior is all original except for the Gene Berg shifter. The dashboard wears its original paint and is in amazing condition. Everything works including the clock! The headliner is in very good condition. The front seats need to be recovered, but the rear seat is pristine. The original door panels are in very good condition. Mechanically this Ghia is totally reliable and sorted. I drive it almost every day. The engine is a rebuilt 1600 single port built to look cosmetically like the original 1200. It is beautifully detailed and runs great. Here is a list of new parts fitted a year ago (I have all reciepts): Reconditioned Distributor with correct advance curve Rebuilt Solex Carburetor including new bushes and surfaces refaced for correct seating New clutch including pressure plate, throw out bearing, cable, cable tube, cable boot & clips Complete new exhaust and tail pipes New battery, ground strap, battery to starter cable Reconditioned generator All engine gaskets, engine/transaxle mounts, trans nose seal & engine compartment sound absorber boards Accelerator pedal, cable, cable guide tube & grommets Complete new fuel line New rear brakes Rebuilt Sapphire radio Additional parts not fitted, but included in this sale: Complete new set of chrome side trim Complete new body seal kit, including all light seals, hood & trunk seals & more Pair of mint complete euro tail lights New correct size speaker for the radio This car is not perfect, but it is a very honest and original Ghia with great patina. The only rust on this car is one isolated area at the bottom of the passenger side rear 1/4 panel, under the bumper. The correct repair panel is included, should the buyer wish to have this area repaired. The car is registered in my name and has a clear Cal title.
