Relisted due to a deadbeat bidder. Please have your funds, please only bid if you have the ability to purchase, not just a high feedback number. 1954 Oldsmobile Ninety Eight Starfire Convertible. This is a very rare barn find and is a great car to restore or rod. These cars have sold for over 200 grand when restored. This is a rare opportunity to own and restore one economically. Please look at the pictures, this car has surface rust but has an actually minimally rusty body. I have personally inspected the car and this is what I have observed. This is a real Oldsmobile Ninety Eight Starfire convertible. Minus the rear seat and the drivers interior door panel it is complete top to bottom. The stainless trim is all complete and in great shape. I could probably get my asking price for just the trim. The very rare hub caps are present and complete with caps. The body of this car has surface rust but is still smooth and not pitted. There are two spots of rust thru on the body and they are very minimal. The fender well and whell wells are in good shape. The front floor boards are in good shape but the rear floor boards will need to be replaced. The floors under the seats are in good shape. The trunk floor is nice, but the spare tire well has some rot. The interior is all there except as noted and the original dash pad is very nice and soft. Gauges are clear. The frame, rockers and body mounts are all very nice. This car was undercoated and that has proved to protect the structure of this car very well. You will be very surprised at the outstanding conditition of the rockers and body mounts and frame. This car has all power options PW,PB,PTop, Autronic Eye etc this was the flagship fully loaded convertible of the year for Oldsmobile. The Oldsmobile ROCKET motor compartment is complete top to bottom. Car does not run and will need the motor built. Car does roll and steer well. Tires are brand new rollers. The Convertible top is complete. This is a very rare car and would make a great candidate for full restoration and or 50's convertible rod. Please look at the pictures this is a rare opportunity.
