Vehicle Detail
it's a 1989 Toyota Pickup truck, SR5, 4X4, 6cyl, 3.0 EFI, Manual trans. 203k miles. Plenty of life in this truck. Was brand new in 1989 and Loaded in it's day. Now its 30 years old with most of the original features and a couple add ons. Here's whats wrong with it:$. Shows signs of it being 30 years old. $. Fuel gauge doesn't work. (i just refill every 250 miles or so)$. Odometer is broken.... . (just the far left digit is stuck on "1", so it reads "103k" instead of actual miles "203k". The rest of the odometer digits work fine. $. Left door arm rest pad worn out as pictured. $. Has a small tear in the seam on the interior roof liner. Hardly visible and less than 4 inches. I didn't even know it was there until i was looking around for things to disclose. $. Ash tray jiggles itself out of the slot every hundred miles or so and all the lose change you've accumulated flies out onto the floor.$. Cruise control doesn't actually work but the "cruise" light does still come on so you can fool your passengers into thinking your calf muscle isn't cramping up during 30+ min drives. $. Minor dent and scratches. $. I took the 15a fuse out from the cigarette lighter slot during my last hunting trip to save my brother in law and my nephew from freezing their butts off in his pop up trailer and he failed to return it after so that'll need to be replaced. I might do that though.$. Horn is either not connected or doesn't work$. Used to have power antenna but they replaced it with a fixed antenna but did not remove the antenna motor so you can hear it run for a few seconds after turning the truck on or off. $. Driver seat a bit worn but in better condition than most trucks this age. $. Rear off road bumper prevents the tailgate from going all the way down. Probably an easy fix for someone who has experience doing things that would fix that. (not me)I honestly think that's all that's wrong.$. Oh yeah, washer fluid leaks if you fill it too high. During my last oil change they topped it off and i noticed some washer fluid leaked a little bit. Then like month later hit the "wash" switch/button and washer fluid sprayed out as it's supposed to like nothing was wrong so it holds some fluid, i just don't know how much or why the leak but giving full disclosure. $. Missing some trim piece(s) around windshield as pictured. Here's whats right:+ It runs really well. It truly is a reliable pickup.+has AIR CONDITIONING and it works great+it's stock except for the intake+heat works awesome+has aftermarket stereo with AM/FM/CD/AUX and 4 after market speakers. +Overall i'd say it's in above average condition.+No major rust. It's been in New Mexico far from the ocean! +Has viper alarm system. (i have two keys but only one key fob.) has remote start but i don't know how to use it nor do i have a clue how to find out. + Brand new wiper blades.+new battery (replaced in the last couple months) Alternator is fine. previous battery was just super old.+New water pump+has a battery maintainer installed so you can run an extension cord straight to it in case you aren't going to drive it for months on end or i guess you could use it if you left lights on and needed to charge it. +Power locks+Power Windows+sun roof doesn't leak or anything. +4x4 works great, no hub locks. You can easily get into 4x4 without getting out of the vehicle. +the interior is pretty clean considering its age. +has rubber all weather floor mats.+ tires have lots of tread left.+super bright light bar is pretty cool.+off road front and rear bumpers are installed, i have the stock bumpers i'll send with the truck as well. + Comes with running boards (not Pictured), they are black tube style. + took it to a mechanic a couple weeks ago and got a clean bill of health so i'm selling with as clear of a conscience as you can on a 30 year old pick up. I've used it as a daily driver and as a hunting vehicle. It'll start right up in freezing cold weather at 10,000 feet above sea level and it's never once left me stranded. Hate to sell it but we're expecting a baby in July and need something infant friendly. Great daily driver, work truck, hunting vehicle etc.
