I have owned and enjoyed this E38 7-series for the last 2 years. I have always wanted to own one and it's been fun cruising around in this large BMW. I just bought a new project car so need the space and money so am passing this on the next enthusiast. I repaired or refreshed many common problems along the way and its a very solid car ready to drive daily. It starts right up, runs smooth, has cold AC and lots of power. The car came from the Pacific NW (Tacoma area) which is a great place to buy used cars as the sun is not intense and no road salt. The car still has shiny paint and no rust. Here is the list of what I have done: - professionally refinished the OEM 18" M-wheels, they are factory BMW which are wider in the rear than the front. I also put new tires on. Also has the full size 18" spare in the trunk. I have the factory 16" wheels as well which I will include with the car. - new windshield with a factory BMW windshield seal which is a common problem as these deteriorate over time- had the instrument cluster repaired to fix the common problem of the pixels going out. The pixels look like new and all the read-outs work- replaced the valley pan in the engine which commonly leaks coolant. While I was in there I replaced valve cover gaskets, repainted the valve covers with high heat paint, new belts- new battery- replaced rear controls arms Car is ready to drive daily, AC is cold, its smooth and reliable. Some of the imperfections include a few dings (all small), the plastic in the front bumper has a crack, one of the fog light lens is cracked, there's a shallow dent on the roof by the GPS antenna (I owned the car for several weeks before I noticed it), the airbag light is on (I have the scanner just haven't messed with it yet). All the problems are minor and typical, the interior is nice for 18 years old with normal wear...the seats have no rips.
