Vehicle Detail

1970 Plymouth Cuda BS23UOE Same owner since 1984 Matching numbers engine, transmission. Original 3.54 Dana 60 Body: In 2007 the topside was media blasted and repainted original B5 Blue with clear coat (underside has original undercoating in very good condition) doors and fenders were removed. Hockey stick stripes are painted, not stickers. Paint is in very good condition. Mileage since repaint approx. 3500. New windshield and vinyl top were installed at the time. Front and rear bumpers were re chromed around 1990. Grille had some minor repairs done and was refinished in correct argent paint (2007). Carpet and seat belts were replaced as was all seat covers and headliner. Dash is an original 1970, 3 speaker not a reproduction and is near mint. Woodgrain on dash is original and in very good condition, all gauges work although the tach is a little jumpy @ lower rpms. Clock converted to quartz movement. Trip meter on speedometer does not work. Radio does not work. All lights and charging system are in perfect working order. Under dash wire to AMP meter was replaced 2-3 years ago. New engine wiring harness 2-3 years old. Engine wiring harness if for a 6 pack not a 4 barrel one that has been hacked. Trunk floor has hole that was repaired around 1994 with spray on bed liner (see pics) hole is 2-3" from frame rail and has not compromised the frame rail in any way. No further degradation in that area in 22 years. Lower quarters were repaired in 1985 and have a "picture window" in the inner fender well (see pica), pinch welds and metal around the "picture window" is solid, no sign of further degradation in 32 years. Floor pan and rockers are solid. Front suspension powder coated and rebuilt 2007 . Manual brakes with Willwood discs in the front standard 14" drums in rear. Manual steering with new steering box around 2010. Reconditioned wiper motor. Pistol Grip shifter with wooden inserts, 18 spline transmission rebuilt around 1990 and does not jump gear or . Clutch is a diaphragm model replaced in 2007 along with flywheel and starter gear.(not sure what brand clutch is but I do remember buying it from Mancini) , helper spring has been removed from clutch pedal. Wheels are Halibrand. Luggage rack has original chrome with light pitting but over all very nice. Engine: Original HP2 block bored 40 over. 11 to 1 compression, runs great on 91 or 93 thanks to 440 Source aluminum closed chamber heads, quench was set @ .035 . These head look completely stock and did wonders for drivability and idle. Hooker Super Comp headers. Car is originally a 4 barrel but now has 6 pack and works great. Still has some cold idle issues , no heat crossover in intake, but once it warms up it idles at around 1100 with about 14 in of vacuum . 484 Purple shaft MP cam. Having grown up with these cars, I have never had the need to get it inspected to verify its authenticity. Numbers on block and trans match cowl, radiator support, VIN plate on dash, fender tag and drivers door sticker. Interior was originally light blue and is now black. This is not a rotisserie restored vehicle but is an extremely presentable, well maintained, solid very drivable car. Thanks for looking at it. Paul
