Vehicle Detail

Beautifully restored by factory trained Honda mechanic/restorer with 42 years of experience. Awarded BEST IN CLASS at recent Northwest Vintage Motorcycle show with 175 cycles in attendance. Genuine NOS Honda parts purchased from Honda dealers and collectors for an authentic Honda restoration. Exhaust system purchased new from a Honda dealer, but is not a stamped NOS item. New seat is a reproduction, not NOS. Virtually everything on this highly collectible Honda CB 750 is new, rebuilt or restored. Only test and tune miles since complete restoration. This Honda has been repainted in its original factory color of Ruby Red Metallic and is stunning. The pictures do not do it justice. The instruments were kept original to show the actual odometer reading at 22,475 miles since new. Instruments can be rebuilt to new condition, if buyer elects to show actual miles since restored instead of original. Free and Clear Idaho Title in hand. If you cut and paste the link to Hagerty you will see what current auction sales values reflect... https://www.hagerty.com/apps/valuationtools/1970-Honda-CB750K1_750_Four Hagerty shows the Concours #1 value at $22,000, Excellent #2 at $18,000 and Good #3 or Average at $15,000. This Honda would be judged between the #1 and #2 ratings. This Honda is being advertised regionally and I reserve the right to sell to a local buyer and cancel the auction early. Serial number is CB7501028322. Motorcycle is located in Nampa, Idaho 83687 if you want to get transport quotes. On Jan-01-19 at 13:05:30 PST, seller added the following information: This Honda 750 was purchased 2.5 years ago from the ORIGINAL OWNER. Rod Ransom owner of http://www.rodsmotorcyclerepair.com/ is a Honda factory trained mechanic/restorer who has earned numerous restoration awards and honors during his 42 years of motorcycle experience. Rod meticulously restored this beauty. It took Rod 4 months to fully restore this Honda 750 to the condition you see today. This cycle was completely disassembled. The frame is powder-coated in gloss black to match the original factory color, but to extend durability. Original hardware was retained and re-zinc coated for authenticity. Amazing attention to details. Wear items such as tires, cables, bearings, gaskets and gromets were all replaced with new, including a new wiring harness. This engine was completely disassembled, thoroughly cleaned, inspected and measured for correct tolerances and then every part was rebuilt, freshened or replaced to original factory specs. The original pistons were in excellent condition and received new rings and the cylinders only required honing. Likewise, the head was completely rebuilt to original factory specs Engine number is CB750E-1027998 and I can provide a picture of it, if requested. The handlebars are not original, but they came on the bike when purchased. The mirrors are reproductions. I do not know of any issues with this Honda that require mechanical or cosmetic attention. Only test and tune miles since fully restored. On Jan-01-19 at 15:16:04 PST, seller added the following information: The original owner of this Honda was not a mechanic and did not have the proper tools to work on Honda’s. He attempted to remove the head and in doing so either broke or cracked several cooling fins. As a result, a 71-72 head was located and rebuilt for the restoration. We’re told that the head configuration was the same from 1969-1972 to fit this engine, but the numbers of pins on the heads for 69-70 differ from 71-72. Good News is that the original 1970 KO head was kept and it can be repaired and used. The correct KO head will be included with the purchase of this bike, but it will be the responsibility of the new purchaser to have it repaired, rebuilt and installed, if they so desire. On Jan-01-19 at 15:31:07 PST, seller added the following information: Attempted to lower the reserve twice today, but eBay won't allow. Please contact me at the end of auction, if reserve is not met. Trying to reduce reserve to Hagerty Average #3 value of $15,000. Current reserve at $18,000. On Jan-02-19 at 08:24:22 PST, seller added the following information: Was just successful in getting reserve reduced to $15,000 from $18,000 by calling eBay and having them make the change.
