It’s going to be tough to do, as I really enjoyed this car while I could, but it is time to say auf Wiedersehen to my 1988 Mercedes Benz 560SL. Since I moved to Houston, then ultimately here to New Orleans, I have had unsuccessful plans of bringing her over. At this point though, instead of letting her sit at one of my Dad’s parking spots at his condo community is Broward, I might as well need to part with her. She is white (135,100 miles), with immaculate brand new brown leather interior. Original Hard Top with also a brand new brown canvas convertible top (manual, not electric, but very easy to operate). My Dad drives it once or twice a week. It need TCL. I was going to use it as my daily driver and started having work on it done, but then life happens and I moved. The car will require a major service since she has not been a daily driver for over two years, but the tires are brand new, batteries are new, and all pieces for the AC are in the trunk (they need to be installed and the Freon charged). I just don’t have time to go to Florida to handle this, and my Dad has a lot going on, but he will entertain offers, as he will be needing that space soon that my car is occupying. It may need a clear coat, as the weather in Broward is the weather in Broward. A good buff might do the trick. But she is a great car and I hate to let it go. Shipping options are available, but you can purchase through me and handle the shipping on own. She is in Broward area. Title on hand. No major accidents (literally one fender bender, dent in front and rear bumper), no flood/water damage, etc. She is definitely a head turner. With a good refurbishment, she will be amazing!
