Vehicle Detail
Selling my 72 Mustang convertible. Well optioned. This is a documented 1 of 1 car per the Marti report QCode 351CJ !! 4V heads, C6 automatic Options - per Marti report: Black Knit Vinyl Bucket Seats3.25 Traction Lok Rear AxleBlack Power Top with Glass BackliteF60x15 Belted RWL TiresPower SteeringPower BrakesAir ConditionerAM/FM RadioProtection Group (bumper guards)Tinted GlassPower WindowsMagnum 500 WheelsCompetition Suspension Everything works except the A/C. I have not diagnosed it but all the parts are there. The car runs and drives excellent. The body is in great shape - with a minor paint flaw by the driver's door. It's hard to capture in a pic but was a repair to a paint chip. There is no visible rust on the exterior of this car!!! No rust bubbles anywhere !!! No trunk rust!! This was a Texas car (Dallas DSO 52) I believe these are all original body panels. Originally 6F gold glow but was painted correct a 1972 correct 2B bright red by the previous owner. The car was done correctly - disassembled and correctly cut in,etc. The car currently has an Edelbrock 1405 4V carburetor. The original carb is a spreadbore quadrajet that needs rebuilding. Original carb is included in with the car. Underside is 100% solid - no rust anywhere - except mild surface rust. Interior is excellent. Driver seat is showing some wear (see pic) Convertible top is very good - with one small repair - about 1/2" long picture is prior to repair FACTORY ORIGINAL (yes, OEM) Magnum 500s!! They have part numbers stamped in them (see pics). Space saver spare tire, with canister. There is a small trans pan drip. Dash pad has a crack in it on passenger side just to the side of that center "bump-out" - towards the windshield - about 5" aftermarket replacements available. Selling because I've always been a classic Cougar guy and I'm going back to my roots. On Nov-13-18 at 15:13:52 PST, seller added the following information: Correction - mileage is 143k - not 143.On Nov-16-18 at 08:13:30 PST, seller added the following information: On Monday I got under the car and was able to snug up each of the transmission pan bolts a little bit (most of them approx 1/8 turn). Went under the car this morning and I don't see any signs of seepage. I have owned the car for 9 years.
