Vehicle Detail
The time has come to sell my 1963 1/2 Falcon Sprint hardtop. I bought this car in July of 2015. Since then, I have done extensive work to get it to where it is today. I'll try to list everything but will probably forget something. New: master cylinder, pre-bent stainless steel hard brake lines and rubber brake hoses, fuel tank, sending unit, fuel pump, intake and carb (both Edelbrock Performer - 500cfm 4-bbl), spark plugs, wires, Dougs Tri-Y Ceramic-coated longtube headers, mufflers, tailpipes, KYB Gas-Adjust shocks all around, all front suspension bushings, tie-rod ends, ball joints, upper and lower control arms, strut rods and bushings, U-joints in the driveshaft, strut tower braces and monte-carlo bar, wheels, tires, clutch, pressure plate, throw-out bearing, radiator, valve covers, air cleaner assembly, Traction-Master traction bars, battery relocated to trunk in Taylor aluminum battery box, trunk mat, heater box assembly, belts, hoses, starter, tail light lenses, rocker moldings, shifter boot, seat belts, gas cap, dash knobs (not all have been installed), door weatherstrip (not installed). The interior was replaced by the previous owner just prior to my buying the car - new headliner, dashpad, seat covers, carpeting, rear package tray and kick panels. The bad: dings/scratches/surface rust and some rust-through at the bottom of the quarters where they meet the trunk drops. The trim is pitted and could use refinishing. Overall, this car is a great driver and mechanically sound. The engine runs well and does not smoke. The 4-speed Borg-Warner T10 transmission shifts as it should. If you're looking for a nice driver that gets a LOT of attention, you should be well-pleased with this car. I will include the 13" steel wheel with the mounted white-wall tires and wire wheel covers, the original exhaust manifolds and intake manifold and 2-bbl carb, as well as anything else I've acquired for the car since I bought it. The car/title will not be released until funds are received/verified. I will require a $1000 non-fundable deposit via Paypal within 48 hours of auction end. I will answer any questions to the best of my ability. These cars are rare (~10,000 hardtops and ~4500 convertible Sprints were built in 1963). ***The actual mileage is unknown as the cluster was replaced at some point, per the previous owner. *** On Nov-03-18 at 17:17:50 PDT, seller added the following information: ****DISCLAIMER**** I make no claims or assertions of this car’s true Trim Level. This car has ALL the visible Sprint-specific items for 1963 (to my knowledge) except for the Sprint-specific muffler as it had aftermarket dual exhaust installed on it when I bought it and I have since replaced it with non-OE dual exhaust, but as anyone who knows these cars should be aware, the VIN and DOOR CODE data do NOT specifically denote a Sprint in 1963. I have NO reason to believe this is not an authentic Sprint, but due to the fact that it is 55+ years old, I cannot be 100% sure of that, and would never attempt to pass off a clone for the real thing. I understand that is a SERIOUS offense.
