I recently had this listed and it SOLD but buyer backed out because of not having self-working wipers but instead a little hand crank inside for, to simply satisfy having a wiper. It's never been driven on wet pavement nor intended to be though wipers wouldn't be expensive to add, or heat with air if desired. Though a very expensive build, it's a NOSTALGIA HOT ROD, centered more on it's history of performance, unlike street rods that's more about just Looking the part and with modern conveniences. I wasn't able to add RESERVE so though will be letting go for a very big lose, will not practically give away so don't expect it with a low bid! On Oct-29-18 at 22:59:41 PDT, seller added the following information: NOTE: Have been trying to find if this Custom Coupe National Professional Vintage Race Car was allowed to have an altered wheelbase in the 'Gasser' category as stated here or if rather would have been an 'Altered' since they often did, but couldn't find anywhere that it couldn't have. In either case it was very common, as with this car, to have removed heater, wiper motor, bumpers, hood sides if not all of hood, and running boards (this had custom running boards made for it when became streetable). And both categories usually had a magneto, eliminating the weight of a generator and battery (as this also had before street legal). One notable difference though is 'Gassers' had fenders, as does this, unlike 'Altereds' that didn't so for now a 'Gasser' seems more likely. Of course 'Gassers' were high in the front to aid weight transfer but this has been changed to now sit very low.On Nov-03-18 at 04:13:30 PDT, seller added the following information: NOTICE: An eBay tech had also tried to help get reserve on this ad.
