1978 Porsche 911SC Coupe Project, VIN 9118200267 - NO RESERVE If you've been watching the air-cooled market recently, you've noted the meteoric rise in prices on these cars. If you thought you were priced out of that market, this may be your chance to get in on the ground floor of this great sunroof-delete 911SC project. This '78 911SC is a stalled project. The car fires up with a turn of the key and settles to an idle. It was fitted with a performance exhaust that sounds amazing with a deep growl (please check out the engine video). VIDEO HERE It goes forwards and backward in our parking lot, but we have not tested it on the road. It has NO brakes, as in none at all. The calipers were removed, probably to be replaced by some giant performance brakes, but they are not with the car. It does have cross-drilled rotors on the front. The buyer will get four core stock calipers. The emergency brake functions to keep the car from rolling away. There are a number of other enhancements made that point to the previous owner's direction with the car. The aforementioned performance exhaust sounds great and is nearly new. A Weltmeister upper strut bar is fitted to the front suspension. The suspension is Bilstein. It has H4 headlights. As a factory sunroof delete car, it was already a prime example to create a solid performer out of. The AC has been deleted. The paintwork on this car leaves a lot to be desired. To begin with, the color was changed to red from its original white. There are a number of major flaws in the paint, and some minor body repairs that are sub par, especially the rear engine lid, which once had a wing on it and was poorly patched and painted. You may or may not be able to live with the paint, it's up to you. The interior still needs some work, and has some missing pieces. The windows are manual (another performance upgrade).
