Fun car to drive, low mileage for its age, but needs a little love. Engine and transmission are in great shape. Interior is worn, as expected for a 20 year old car. Still has lots of get up and go, however the motor/transmission mounts need replacing (the full set of replacement mounts are in the trunk, as you can see in the pics). Other problems of note: 1) the automatic opening and closing of the convertible top is broken (you can still operate it manually)2) the condenser pan is cracked therefore the AC will not hold a charge. The part is relatively cheap but requires some effort to get to it.3) the passenger door handle broke off. A replacement is in the trunk, along with the cans of correctly matched paint and clearcoat. I hate to get rid of this car, but we are moving out of state and must sell this car quickly. This car was already listed on eBay and the final bid was $1601. However, the winner jerked me around. Just to be clear, if you don't know how eBay auctions work - payment in full is expected within 48 hours. The car is located in southwest Fort Worth. Winner must pick up the car. The engine is not the turbo version (GS-T), this is the Eclipse Spyder GS which has the 2.4 L 16-valve SOHC Mitsubishi 4G64 engine. Yes, the car has a current inspection - it was just inspected this past April and passed (if you look closely at one of the photos you can see the sticker). This was my daily drive until about a month ago. I didn't want to take this car to California and risk it not passing the higher emissions standards. No visible smoke (otherwise it would not have passed inspection). The automatic transmission is still in good shape. Besides the motor mounts, the engine still purrs pretty nicely for its age. I don’t think there should be any problem with a 3 hour drive. I was using it on a daily basis to go to and from work up until a month ago. I had the transmission and cooling system flushed about a year ago. The oil was recently changed also. Yes, all of the electric windows work. In the trunk I have some rear window spares as well that I got from the previous owner (can’t remember which ones though). All other electric systems work well except for what was noted in the listing (e.g. electric lift for the top). The speakers work well. The rear speakers are marine speakers.
