Vehicle Detail
Hello, Thanks for taking my auction for my 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX. This car has been my baby during the time I have owned it. It has never been a daily driver, and has only been taken out on the nicest of Summer days. It is equipped with the 5-speed manual transmission, which is much stronger and far more desirable than the 6-speed, and is in exceptional condition overall for a 2006 model. These are no longer made, and are getting harder and harder to find with lower miles, and not abused/rusted/etc. This is the last year Mitsubishi put in the legendary 4G63T engine, truly an incredible car. It's an absolute blast to drive! General Vehicle Info:---------------------- Adult owned / driven - Only driven on the nicest of Summer days (was not a daily driver) - Garage kept year round- Battery tender kept on vehicle during colder months while stored - Never smoked in - Never tracked/auto-crossed - Never launched - Never bounced off rev-limiter - Never beaten/abused/neglected - Never driven in the snow/ice - Never driven when salt or salt residue was on the road- Never taken off road - Driven only 2 or 3 times in very light rain - No rust/corrosion on vehicle- Underbody has a coating on it to protect it - Still has unused spare tire/jack in trunk Full leather interior, power moon roof, and factory HIDs with projector head lights. Leather seats and entire interior are in exceptional condition. Car has 80k miles on it, and was professionally tuned by Devin at Boostin Performance in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. This car was not built to be raced/beaten on. It was simply built with what I felt was going to make a perfect street-car that was fun to drive, and handled well for nice day cruises. Car was tuned on 93 octane very conservatively and put down 337hp and 289tq @ 24.6psi. Mods include: - 3" speed density intake - Lower intercooler pipe (brand unknown) - GSC Stage 2 cams - GSC Titanium Beehive springs and retainers - ARP head studs - FIC 1100 injectors - 255lph Walbro fuel pump - Converted over to Speed Density - Stock BPV vented to atmosphere - 4-bar Omnipower map sensor - Full turbo-back exhaust (uncertain of exact brand) - Aftermarket front mount intercooler (uncertain of exact brand) - Aftermarket o2 housing (uncertain of exact brand) - Koyo Aftermarket radiator - Small/lightweight Interstate battery - Misc suspension upgrades (rear sway bar, etc) - Auto Meter Elite Wideband, Boost/Vac, and Oil Pressure gauges - Alpine cd/mp3/usb receiver- Hankook Ventus V12 Evo tires (255/40Z/R17) - Stock MAF & stock Cams are available if buyer is interested in having them Car is still running the stock turbo - which is very streetable. There is almost no lag with this setup, and as you can see from the dyno graphs, the car literally continues pulling and creating power all the way until redline. At this point, the next logical mods for this car would be to a larger turbo and an external wastegate setup. Those were my plans for the vehicle, however I don't drive this vehicle enough anymore to warrant continuing to modify it. Car was originally equipped with the wing on the back - however, I had a body shop professionally remove it. The holes in the trunk lid were professionally welded (not bondoed) and re-done by Getz's Auto Body in Hampshire, Illinois. I no longer have the factory wing. Car's paint is in very good shape overall, but it isn't flawless. There are a few places I've had to touch up the paint here or there, but nothing major. All 4 wheels have some *very* slight marks from the previous owner. It's not horrible, and was so moderate that I never saw the need to replace the wheels. There is also a bit of discoloring on the small piece of carpet that goes in the trunk as seen in the pictures. This would likely come out. Driver's side headlight does have a small defect in it from where something struck it (a rock maybe?) while driving one day. Headlight is still sealed however. I've included a picture of it. As you can see from the pictures, the leather seats in the back are literally in flawless condition, and front seats are near perfect as well. There are 2 small scuff marks (as seen in the driver's side seat picture) on the bottom of the driver's seat. Nothing major - No rips/tears/undone stitching/cracks/etc in the leather. All four tires are Summer only, and have maybe 30-40% tread remaining from what I can tell by looking at them. I brought this car down with me when I moved to TN. As it was converted to Speed Density and tuned in Chicago, the elevation is a bit different here, and the elevation will undoubtably be different to where you (the buyer) is located. I *highly* recommend you find a knowledgeable and experienced tuner local to you and close to your elevation who can just go over the tune and check to ensure the Air/Fuel ratios and everything is still safe for where you live and drive the vehicle. Due to the elevation changes, the car does seem to have a bit of a lean idle when it's started up - this goes away within the first 30 seconds of the car being started. This was not a problem when it was tuned in Chicago, so a retune would certainly resolve it. I believe it has to do with the startup-enrichment tables of the ECU, but I am not a tuner, nor do I have experience tuning these vehicles. I'm just going by what I've read online from what others have experienced too. This car tends to want to stall when coming to a stop if the Air Conditioning is on (it runs perfectly if the AC is left off). It doesn't happen all the time, but fairly often if driving around town the the AC on. This is a very common issue with the Evo IX's that have larger camshafts + a speed density setup. It was never a huge issue for me because I prefer to drive with the windows down, and the car is only taken out on the nicest of Summer days. In either case, a good local tuner should be able to resolve these few small issues with ease. Full disclosure - this vehicle was involved in a very minor accident several years back. Absolutely no structural damage was done to the vehicle - it was all purely and completely cosmetic. As a result, passenger's headlight, hood, and front bumper cover were professionally replaced and installed by Getz's Auto Body in Hampshire, Illinois. All replaced parts were brand new, genuine OEM Mitsubishi parts. Color was matched perfectly. There are no visible or mechanical signs of the accident. The frame, steering, and all suspension components were checked over by them as well, with no damage done to any other component. They also checked over the intercooler, radiator, and oil cooler and all were fine - and neither even incurred any bent fins as a result. Very, very, very minor bump which caused some very light scuffing to the aforementioned pieces that were replaced. Vehicles entire alignment was checked afterward, and it wasn't affected. Paint on all parts of the vehicle match perfectly. Title is clean - *not rebuilt*. I absolutely love this car. I truly hate to sell it but ... I simply don't ever drive it, and I can't bring myself to daily drive a car that's in this nice of condition, especially when they no longer make these cars. There's really no need for me to continue to keep this vehicle when all it does it sit tucked away safely in my garage all the time. Ideally, I'm looking for someone who will take care of it as much as I have, but also enjoy it without beating on it and destroying it. These are really getting hard to find, and especially hard to find in nice condition and non-abused and rusted. Clean title in hand. Vehicle is located in Knoxville, TN. Buyer can pick the vehicle up themselves in person, or ship if they have a preferred carrier they like to use. Please let me know if you have any further questions about the vehicle.
