1993 Mercedes-Benz 500E Great car that has been pampered since I bought it. Black paint shows well and has a deep finish. Interior is very nice and wood show exceptionally well. Sound system updated. Engine is strong and shifts smoothly. Nice 500E to own. VIN: WDBEA36E5PB979499 Current mileage: 104,185 Bought September 2007, 92,114 miles Salvage title: passenger front fender was hit I am a 500E enthusiast and have addressed most everything needed. Here is a list of what I have done. Original turn signals and tires come with car. What I have done/replaced - Fifteen 52 17" x 8" wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3 tires (done at 102,970 miles, have original wheels) - Disconnected the alarm system - New starter - New battery, January 2014 (under battery tender since) - New window tint - Clear turn signal markers on front (originals come with car) - New engine and transmission mounts - Replaced the driver's side tie rod - Replaced the rear strut bushings - New AC/climate control unit - Zapco subwoofer and amp, new stereo wiring everywhere, Rainbow speakers in the back, and Jehnert speakers with door panels in the front - Euro headlights - New throttle body actuator - Replaced upper and lower wiring harness Current needs - Temperature on dash LCD display is starting to bleed after 25 years - Headliner is saggy in places Summary: This is a wonderful example of an Iconic Mercedes-Benz built by both Porsche and Mercedes-Benz. Fun to drive and is a collectible that will surprise you how well it performs, they got it right on the 500E. Now it is time for the next owner to enjoy the car.
