Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is this Extremely Rare Barn Find. It's an 1980 Chrysler Cordoba LS with the Slant 6. Chrysler only made 26,333 Cordobas, 16,821 Crowns, and 3,252 “LS” models in 1980. It is in very nice condition. Original Paint which is very shiny. Last state inspection was in 1993. I got this from an elderly neighbor who was the original owner. He bought it from our small town Chrysler Dealership. I've provided a picture of that now closed dealership. The dealership nameplate is still on the trunk. I still have his original receipt. I am the second owner. I've had this car for two years now sitting in my garage. I work on it every now and again but I have another antique car that deserves my attention so I'm ready to let this one go. I know there's someone out there that would love to have this. Probably the cleanest one you'll find. There are a couple splits in driver's seat as far as I can tell. I took down the fabric on the roof liner because it was falling. The roof liner panel itself is still in place. I bought rear bumper filler panels for it. I removed the old ones, as you can see. I haven't had them fitted & painted yet. I'll leave that up to you. Before I even attempted to start the car, I removed the valve cover, changed the oil, put new plugs, wires, cap and rotor on. I changed the oil then I poured some fresh oil over the lifters before re-attaching the valve cover. Dumped some gas in the carb and put new battery in. It started right up. I drove it a few times. A couple miles here and there. It shifted fine for me. I am not aware of any real mechanical issues. I put some new belts on it. I bought five (5) rally wheels from an '83 Mirada. I cleaned two of the wheels up, as you can see. I wanted to put some new raised white letter tires on them. I'll leave that up to you. I'm not sure if all the gages and lights work. The brake lights were removed for the filler panel install but I never got back to it. I didn't do anything with the brakes. I haven't even looked at them but they do work. All of this being said, the car would need to be flat bedded. It is not ready for a road trip of any kind in it's current condition. Please ask any questions before you bid.
