UPDATE: Video Added! Multiple people requested some video of the car, so here's a quick and dirty video I put together to answer a few different questions. Feel free to contact me if I didn't cover something you're interested in. 2004 Porsche 911 40th Anniversary Edition About the Car (More Photos here...) This 2004 Porsche 911 is #1005 of 1,963 40th Anniversary Edition models, and shows 132k miles. Power is from a 3.6L flat-six equipped with the X51 power package, good for 345HP, and mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. If you aren't familiar, here's a Motor Trend write up on this vehicle. All 40th Anniversary cars were finished in GT Silver Metallic and received Turbo-style front air inlets, GT3 side skirts, and special badging. Also included on the 40th Anniversary model are the normally optional sport suspension, Bi-Xenon headlamps, aluminum doorsills, upgraded leather, heated sport seats, and aluminum-finished instrument rings and door pulls; several other interior pieces are painted body color. This vehicle also has a dealer installed GT3 RS carbon fiber wing / lid, as well as a carbon fiber front skirt and carbon fiber mirror wraps. The wing and mirror wraps are perfect, but someone must have touched a curb with the front spoiler. It's fine, but it's chipped. The wheels are Victor Equipment Badens which are designed only for Porsche and have perfect fitment. The tires are Bridgestone S-02 Max Performance Summer tires and they do have a decent amount of usable tread on them. The front a little more than the rears, but no need to change them for a while. Body panels and paint look good everywhere. The entire front end is covered by a clear vinyl bra which has done a nice job of protecting the paint. To me the car looks like it just rolled out of a showroom. Having said that, it is 14 years old, so there are a few exceptionally minor marks if you look hard enough. There is one mark about the width of a fingernail on the passenger's side There are a few tiny little dots in various places that are so small you have to get right up on them to notice. The vehicle has a new clutch and RMS done less than two years ago. Everything functions properly and frankly the car drives like a dream. This variant of the 911 will do 0-60 in about 4.7 seconds and run all the way to 180 mph, so it's still competitive even with much more recent sports cars - as it should be for something that cost $100,000 new! Since eBay won't let me post all of the pics of the car, I have a Google Photos album here with high res versions and LOTS more photos. Recent Additions In the last month I had the windows tinted with top of the line ceramic tint at a high end shop in Houston. The front window was also done with clear ceramic, so this car rejects heat from every window. It also looks a lot nicer with the high quality tint. After the tint, I took it to Houston Car Stereo and had a top of the line Kenwood Excelon system put in. This new system now has: Apple CarPlay / Android Auto full integrationReverse camera FRONT camera, with auto recording Waze, Google Maps, Pandora, Spotify, etc. Handsfree calling / Siri / Google Dual USB ports A LOT more... I also got a custom ProClip phone holder, and a couple of Ultimate Cupholders. What's Wrong With It Very little. There aren't any leaks or noises. Shifter and clutch are smooth. Engine purrs like a kitten - well, unless you step on it! Power steering and brakes are as they should be. Power windows, locks, remote, trunk release, rear deck... all working. The only things I'm aware of: Both sun visors have broken mirror cover doors. Apparently this is very common with 911's. The passenger side window washer port isn't spraying. Probably minor, haven't looked at it... There is a little plastic piece attached to the engine deck where the air is sucked into the intake that is loose. Frankly, I don't know why the part even exists, but its loose. That's all I know of! Why I'm Selling I purchased this vehicle just a couple of months ago from one of my best friends. They had to sell it due to health issues, and I wanted to help out. After I got it, I spent about $3,000 upgrading the stereo, adding tint, and a few other accessories with the intention of making it my "weekend" vehicle, however my wife has rebelled and doesn't want to ride in the Porsche! If you're looking at 911's you are probably already aware how low the vehicle sits, which makes entry and egress a little harder than a normal car. And the sport suspension can't compete with her Mercedes. So, I'm going to let this car move on to a new owner who can put it to good use. A Little History I've had the car for a couple of months, as I said before. In the two years my friend had it he put about 3,000 miles on it... The previous owner purchased it from Park Place Porsche in Dallas, and we have maintenance records of oil changes, etc. So although this car has 132k miles on it, you only need to take one look at it to realize it's been very well cared for by each of the previous owners. Payment and Pick Up Upon successful completion of the auction, I will require an immediate PayPal deposit of $1,000. The remainder can be paid with either cash or a cashier's check upon pickup, which needs to take place within a week. If you need more than a week to come get it, I can store the vehicle, but you will have to wire full payment and we will have to discuss the plans in advance. So if you're going to need some flexibility like that please contact me BEFORE bidding. I live just north of Houston, TX and if you would like to fly in and drive the car home I'm happy to pick you up at Intercontinental (IAH), Hobby (HOU), or a private airfield. We can grab a bite to eat and take care of business before you get on your way! If you have any other questions, just contact me and I'll do my best to answer them.
