Vehicle Detail
-Photos taken after rain, thats probably all of the "bubbles" you are seeing- Nice driver condition 1958 Edsel Corsair 4 door hardtop. Bought recently, but looking for something in a bit better shape to drive. Runs well, drives, and brakes. Was converted to power steering. Brakes are still manual. Automatic teletouch transmission, working. Park is iffy, shifts into neutral but wont set brake. Stock radio doesnt work, but lights up. Newer radio with cassette player and new speaker installed. Padded dash, ripped and taped. Decent interior, seats pretty nice, just have a black coating over the white parts, may come off? Mold? All lights work, headlights, brake lights, directionals, etc. Exterior wise, its okay. Dont know what if any paint is original. Some spots missing paint with rust, as pictured. Some bubbling, etc. Rust. Some rust through on rockers (Like always), and some various small holes on rear fenders, easily patched. Trunk decent, has small holes but solid as a whole, floors decent. Doors dented, passenger door top needs whole length of the door (Maybe 3 inches of the top) welded in, there is metal missing and overall its rough at the top edge, etc. SEE PHOTOS. Look at them carefully! All glass is good except for crack in drivers window. Horn doesnt work, wipers work but the pull cable to switch is corroded. Exhaust manifold should be replaced at some point, it leaks. Have good one and gaskets (Seen on seats). Could use new tires. NEEDS carb rebuild (and possibly new fuel pump, been stalling at stops lately). Either drive as is, or restore. 1958 Edsels are hard to find. Corsairs are even harder to find. Especially one thats running and driving. Let me know if you have any questions. Do not expect a showcar! Its a driver. Needs total restoration to become a nice car again. Dont expect anything nice... otherwise it would be priced at $30,000... You can drive it as is with some work, yes, but it really should be fully restored. BUYER RESPONSIBLE FOR PICKING UP. Bring proper truck and trailer. This is almost an 18 foot long car. This is a very wide car. Id bring one of those manual tow winches just in case. Tie down straps... etc. Be prepared. I can work with buyer on shipping. I will not pay, that is up to the buyer to do so.
