Vehicle Detail
Pictured for sale is a 1967 Ford Mustang Convertible Project with a clear title. The original factory color for this Mustang is Candy Apple Red with a red interior which is perhaps the most attractive and desirable color combination Ford offered for the early Mustang convertible. Further, It has what appears to be the original 200 6 cyl. engine, 3 spd. transmission and a power top. The engine will turn over manually by hand but the keys are unavailable and no attempt to start it was made. The Mustang is quite complete, with the majority if not all of the convertible-specific items present. A previous owner started to disassemble the car for restoration and then stopped. Fortunately, the parts he removed were all saved and placed back on the car for illustration purposes. As seen, it will require extensive frame, floor and sheetmetal repairs. Although the windshield is missing, both door window glass is present and in decent shape along with the power folding top. This Mustang is ideal for a restomod-type restoration or at a minimum a possible V8 upgrade back to original as seen in the last picture. Additionally, these items for an upgrade are readily available locally of which I would assist any interested bidders. Again, please understand this car is rough but restorable and these days, virtually any early Mustang convertible within reason is worthy of restoration. Both the vin numbers and data plate are easily legible and in place on the fender apron and driver’s door and match a clear Wisconsin title. The Mustang decodes as seen in the last pic. The Mustang will roll and steer easily for transport and is located in Chicago. Please ask if any questions arise.
