Vehicle Detail
Excellent condition 2015 Chevrolet Caprice PPV (Police Patrol Vehicle) 9C1 made in Australia by GM subsidiary Holden on the same platform as the Pontiac G8 and Chevy Camaro. It is equipped with the 6.0 liter V8, not the 3.6 liter V6 which some had. If you aren’t familiar with all the goodies on these rare cars, please check out newcaprice.com forums for more info. Holden stopped production in 2017 but made no changes after the 2015 model year, so this car has all the final updates, including backup camera and MyLink. It was a South Dakota Highway Patrol car, with only 19K actual in-service miles when it was lightly hit in the left front. Please see the “before” picture at the end of the photo album. It was repaired by replacing the left front fender, driver door, and the entire left front knee assembly (complete strut, spring, knuckle, hub, brake assembly, control arms, etc.) even though you can see from the picture it was tweaked rather than destroyed. Please see the original tweaked left front lower control arm versus the new replacement. All airbags remained intact. Engine runs smoothly, transmission shifts smoothly, the whole car drives perfectly; it aligned easily to factory specs. No check engine or any other warning lights. While in service it had a spotlight and 2 antennae, but all those holes were filled. Front bumper license plate holes were filled for a cleaner look. Body and paint work were all well done, except for a small scratch near the top of the rocker cover below the driver door. I have included a picture of the scratch so you see that I’m not hiding anything. I am happy to show this car by appointment or give you a Skype tour. Please message me for an appointment or with any questions well before the auction ends as I will not be able to respond well with only ten minutes to go. Interior is in excellent shape except for a couple of headliner holes (see pictures of the headliner in the gallery). The seats, door panels, dash, floor are all excellent: NO holes or wear. Driver A pillar cover was replaced so there is no spotlight hole from the interior either. One of the pictures shows the Rampage matching color center console I bought but have not yet screwed to the radio mounting plate. I had planned to peel back the fabric on the sides to cut it down a couple of inches, but especially if you are very tall, you may prefer the current height. ALL factory equipment, including all power accessories (windows, locks, seat, trunk release), horn, headlights, cruise control, door handles, etc. work exactly as new. This Caprice is not some thrashed city car with 400 different drivers or hacked up electronics when decommissioned. It still has a faint new car smell! Amber turn signal portion inside the driver headlight is cracked and there are two clear scratches on the outside clear cover. They do not really affect the functionality of the headlights or turn signal, but the assembly should be replaced to match the rest of the nice car (unless someone has a light broken near the bright and you could remove the cover and replace the internal amber turn signal cover.) Title is restorable salvage with prior owner listed as South Dakota Highway Patrol for you police car collectors. Again, please review the pictures of the original damage so you can see for yourself that it was not hurt too badly. This car runs and drives perfectly, just like you would expect a very low miles, low hours (see picture), well maintained former highway patrol car. Why am I selling it? I love Caprices, both old B-bodies and the new Holdens. (Extra points if you can spot glimpses of two of my older B-body Caprices in the background!) We have two 2011 detective 9C3 models with retail civilian-type interior: one completely stock and one ProCharged with 571 hp at the rear wheels. I thought that my wife would like the tech upgrades in this 2015 with MyLink and backup camera (and where else can I find one in such excellent condition for an OCD woman?), but she went full tech with a Tesla Model S, so three is too many new Caprices and this seems to be the Caprice with the least depreciation hit. I hope that you enjoy it! Buyer is responsible for vehicle pickup or shipping; however, I am happy to help coordinate with any shipper you like. Or, with prior arrangement, I am happy to pick you at Phoenix Sky Harbor airport, or, since I travel there frequently, I could also deliver the car to you at Las Vegas McCarran airport since they seem to have a lot cheaper one way airfares.I am an individual, not a dealer, so I cannot accept credit cards. I have NO idea why the preview listing says that I can accept credit cards; that is NOT right but I cannot find any way to delete it. I can accept ONLY cashier's check or cash for final payment. For the deposit only I can accept PayPal as well.
