Vehicle Detail
1970 Plymouth Barracuda Convertible. One of the most sought after and recognized cars on the planet. This car will need a complete mechanical and cosmetic restoration. I have posted pics of the areas of concern and have many more that I can send to you if you desire. This car is in much better condition than others I have seen. The car has only had 2 owners. Both were women and I have spoke to both. I have some great stories from them. It was parked in 1981 due to a starter failure. The car is 318, auto , console , bucket seat. There were only 863 built. I have a clear title in the second owners name. The fender tag is missing. Taken while sitting dormant in a pole barn. There were 2 build sheets in the car. NEITHER are for this car. They were printed one day apart, the first week of September 1969. I have spoken with Diane @ Galens Tag Service,(Galen Govier), and with an inspection the fender tag can be reproduced now. There are some things missing; Driveshaft, Park Lights, One Hydraulic Ram L/S, Air Filter and Headlight Bezels. Engine does not turn by hand. Grille is broken. Only rust in the floor is where the drivers left foot would rest. Suspension structure does not sag and floors are not compromised. There is no rust under the back seat. The convertible top lifts easily and latches nicely. The car was heavily undercoated so the floors and frame rails are in pretty good shape. There are some small holes here and there. Come and inspect for yourself or send someone. This is a major investment and will only go north. Considering that a 1970 Hemi Cuda clone will fetch you 6 figures. There is a $500 deposit due in 24 hrs. of auctions end. Wire transfer to my bank or cash in person are the only methods of acceptable payment. No checks. Scammers or zero feedbackers move on. Sorry, but there are to many rip off artists out there. Again, I have a lot more pics. Ask any and all questions. On Aug-31-18 at 06:38:04 PDT, seller added the following information: I have had several questions about the rust on the car. I'll try to explain in depth. The bottom of the front fenders have rust behind the wheel, a spot on the top of the L/S front fender and behind the splash pan. Some on the rockers, inside the L/S door opening bottom rear. Inside the R/S door opening bottom front. Bottoms of door skins. Lower Rear quarters both sides. A small spot in the front of the L/S outer rear wheel well. Floor has a rust hole where the drivers left foot would rest. Trunk floor has 3 places. One small spot on the R/S convertible top carriage. Very small spot on both sides in front of the hood hinges. The bottom of the hood. The car was heavily undercoated. Floor pans and frame rails are nice. The cross brace support for the torque rods have small holes on the bottom but are not compromised. The suspension front and rear stands straight and tall. The convertible drains are nice. Both valances are nice but have dents. The deck lid springs are disconnected but I have all the hardware. There was no trunk key and I can only assume that someone was trying to get the lid open. I crawled in and took the latch assy. apart. I have all of that hardware as well. There is no rust on any of the deck lid supports, upper wheel wells ,convertible mounts or under the back seat. I think that about covers it. Again, I have many pics I can send to you or you can come inspect it for yourself. On Sep-05-18 at 12:58:49 PDT, seller added the following information:
