The first Fairlady convertible appeared in 1959 model S211 and continued thru April of 1970 model SPL311, this one being built 3/1970 just one month shy from its final farewell. When I purchased this classic roadster, it was based on research and its originality and yes, the classic Ivory white paint and pagoda red interior. The man I purchased it from said he was the second owner and had bought it from an older lady in his town. Over his brief single year ownership he could never quit get the carbs/engine ajusted correctly and offered it up for sale as a driving running unrestored original example. After a few fun drives around town, I realized this car is a blast and yes it gets the looks. It's just simply a fun little car and with this in mind throwing a little time and money at it was to me, well worth it. This little roadster redlines at 7000RPM's and it does! After my mechanic rebuilt the carbs and pretty much the engine Etc, he called me after the test drive and said, "Wow this car go go goes! what horse power is this little car 120?" no I replied you've added about 25% factory says 96hp with only a 2085 curb weight. He then said wow! shifting into third at 6500rpm the car hits 80+MPH. This is a very Original Roadster with no rust issues, not even in any of the usual places. In the pictures, the rust looking stuff under the driver’s side floors is the original heat underlayment. All Original Carpet, Seats, Dash, Radio, spare tire, jack, Etc. All gauge’s work switches radio Etc.As you can see it has the original hard top, it will also come with the original soft top and all its parts. The original soft top would need a little love, the plastic windows are discolored and cracked. The original canvas is not bad for being almost 50yrs old.Within the last two hundred miles I've had the following work done. *Rebuilt the SU Carbs/polished jets*Restored Radiator*Replaced Timing chain, tensioners and lock plate*Engine Gaskets*leak test*Cleaned fuel tank*Ignition Timing*Brakes*Replaced all needed hoses and fuel lines*New Battery*All 4 Shocks*Total Mechanical Bill $3600 (have receipts)*Painted last year to driver quality $3500 *Replaced all weather-stripping Datsun.com $1300 Many are saying Datsun prices are on the rise, tend to believe and have seen them. Hagerty has the 1970 1600 values from FAIR $7,300 and CONCOURS $42,700. I recently moved and can't find the title so will be sold with bill of sell only. Not sure if I can go to the DMV and get a copy? I purchased it without a tittle and had it registered without any issues. If a bill of sale won't work for you or your state, before you bid let me know. Just researched it and think I can get a replacement just not sure and the time frame to receive it.
