Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is a 1990 Honda Pilot FL400. This is probably one of the nicest stock original Pilots left. I purchased it from the original owner in Arizona. I was told that it had only been ridden in sand dunes and was always garage kept. It has always been hauled in an enclosed trailer. Very meticulously maintained and ridden gently. It has never been wrecked or rolled over. It still has the original Ohtsu tires which have only been ridden on the street a little to keep the fluids circulated between the few trips to the dunes. I just completely flushed all the brake lines and put new factory Honda rubber components (o-rings, seals, boots, etc..) in both master cylinders, rear caliper and front wheel cylinders, along with new OEM Honda brake pads on the rear. Front shoes were still like new as can be seen in pics. I thoroughly, meticulously cleaned all of these brake components before re-installing and completely bleeding the system and refilling with new OEM Dot 4 Honda brake fluid. They work perfectly as does the parking brake. I completely drained the cooling system and put in new Honda Blue pre-mix coolant. I also drained and refilled the transmission with new Honda oil as well as engine balancer oil. I put all new OEM Honda drain and fill plug washers on all of the plugs and banjo brake line fittings. It has a new Honda drive belt installed on it and an extra belt (slightly used) included. The Pilot has only been ridden about 3 hours in Walden, Colorado sand dunes since all of this service maintenance work was done. From what I was told, the engine, transmission, etc… is all completely stock and has never been apart. It does appear to me to be the case. The only modification that it has is that I added an extra intake air scoop and flex hose to the engine air cleaner box to allow more air to the engine but to only draw in clean air from near the roof. In doing this modification, I made sure NOT to drill any holes other than the one 2 ¼ “ hole in the air box lid to put in the plastic fitting for the flex hose to clamp onto. All brackets and supports for this scoop and hose to clamp onto are using factory holes and tabs on roll cage. Also all factory Honda hose clamps were used on flex hose. Looks nice and is very functional. Other than the above mentioned, this Pilot is completely bone stock original and in near mint condition with only a few light scratches on the plastics. These are mainly from getting in and out and moving in and out of garage and trailer over the years. There is no fading or cracks. All the decals are original and very nice. The steering wheel even still looks like new. The seat has one small crack about the size of a pencil eraser in the bottom where it appears someone sat on the seat belt latch and pushed in on the vinyl. I tried to show it in the pics. The stock white steel wheels have a few scratches and dings on the edges from being stacked and stored in the garage over the years. The front bumper and front lower left control arm each has a small ding and there are some light scratches from riding in the sand. The rear control arms have a few rub marks from tie downs in trailer. I am posting a link with 100+ additional pics to try to show everything but if you want to see something that does not show up, PLEASE ask any questions or for more pics before bidding NOT after buying and then complaining. I will respond ASAP. http://s345.photobucket.com/user/AnniePrince/library/ This Honda Pilot is extremely nice UN-restored bone stock original. Fully serviced and starts, runs, shift, drives and stops like it did when it was sold new. Everything works as it should (lights, switches, etc…) Please note, the carb is jetted for high altitude so depending on where you are going to ride it, it may need to be re-jetted and re-tuned. It does come with 4 sand tires and wheels and lug nuts for them. It also comes with a factory Honda shop manual, factory Honda tool kit and Honda factory spring loaded whip flag antenna (same as pictured in the Honda shop manual). There is NO rust or corrosion on any bolts, nuts or chrome parts anywhere. AMAZING!! Again, you would be hard pressed to find another Honda Pilot this nice. Almost like show room new condition, even though now could be considered a classic antique at 28 years old. It’s an awesome machine and extremely FUN!!! Bid with confidence. All that being said………I will not make any refunds of any kind. This is being sold as is where is with no implied or expressed warranties. If you have ANY doubts about anything on this Honda Pilot, ask questions or come inspect it in person before bidding. Don’t forget there is a photobucket link with more pictures. If you don’t have a good EBay rating, don’t bid or your bid will be removed ASAP. I have found that members with these ratings don’t seem to care about what is shown in the pics, but seem to be more interested in making things as difficult as possible after the fact. They don’t have anything to lose. Not worth the headache. A $500 non-refundable deposit must be received via pay-pal within 24 hours of auction ending. Payment and purchase agreement must be completed within 7 days of auction ending. Payment accepted: a US nationwide bank certified check, or cash in person. The Pilot will not be released until our bank confirms payment has cleared. I can also keep the Pilot stored in my garage for up to 4 weeks with no charge, provided that it has been paid in full and purchase agreement has been signed by both parties. You must make prior arrangements for that. Keep in mind however, once it is sold, I will not carry insurance on it and you will need to make those arrangements. On Aug-26-18 at 18:42:43 PDT, seller added the following information: Please note: I cannot get the link to load as a link....please copy and paste. http://s345.photobucket.com/user/AnniePrince/library/ Also: We will only accept certified checks from United States banks or cash only. NO checks from Canada and NO money orders (as specified by eBay in "Shipping and Payment" section).
