Up for auction is a 1971 Mercedes Benz 220 diesel 4 door sedan. This is one of the cleanest examples of this car you will ever find it is in amazing condition. It is a true 3 owner vehicle, lady owned and driven by a local school teacher who bought it from her uncle. He purchased the car from the estate of the original owner in West Virginia, which is where the car had resided since new and had never left the state until the current owner moved to Pennsylvania. The Mercedes has been garage kept and meticulously maintained its entire life and has never been driven in inclimate weather ever. Car is powered by a diesel engine and an automatic transmission. Paint shines like new and the leather interior is in unbelievable condition. The carpet, dash, seat bolsters, ect… all look new and show no signs of wear. The car has no power steering, power brakes, air conditioning, and is also radio delete. Somehow it was ordered with a sunroof though, it is non power and opens manually with a T-handle and then slides rearward. The original tool kit that came with the car new is still in the trunk and is shown in the pictures. Also still with the car are all books, owners manual, data tag with first owners info all in the original Mercedes Benz embossed case.
