Vehicle Detail
2002 Corvette Z066 Speed manual, LS6 engine~71k miles. I drive it randomly. It's not currently my daily driver.Clear title in my nameBlack with red/black interior (Mod Red)Nitto nt555 g2 tires - Replaced fairly recentlyI've had it for several years now. Going back to school so a sports car isn't a priority. No running/driving issues. I was driving it everyday the last few semesters.Bought it stock. Is currently still mostly stock. Body looks good. Front clip and rear bumper have been repainted. Otherwise, there are some rock chips, scuffs, and expected stuff from 15 year old paint and daily driving for several years. The clear on the front/hood was really bad and the rear had cracking in the paint on the corner from rolling into a table in my garage because the e-brake wasn't on. No accidents on record when I picked it up and none since I have had it. The clear on the mirrors isn't great and I should have had them painted too but I didn't notice it at the time. Interior is good as well. Only issue is a spot on the drivers seat where a thread has broken. It was like that when I got it and has held up fine since then. No tearing or anything. It still has the original front floor mats and rear cargo mat. I have the tire inflation kit too. Only driving related mods are a skip-shift eliminator and a B&M short shifter. Both easily reversible before you pick up if you're interested. Other mods:-Radio and front speakers have been replaced. Clarion head unit and Polk speakers. Rears are not connected. Still have all originals and can put them back in if interested. No wires were cut.-Amplifier and custom 12" sub box are in the center of the trunk. KnuKoncepts wiring kit. Eclipse 5ch amplifier and Kicker CVT subwoofer. Can all be removed if you want.-Tinted windows before I got it. Passes inspection. Not sure what percentage. 35% is legal here. Misc Parts replaced:-Drive belt and serpentine belt (Goodyear Gatorback)-Water pump/coolant due to a leaking seal (AC Delco)-Oil pressure sensor-Shocks were replaced with C6 Z06 shocks. Originals were still good and I still have them if you want.-Sway bar linkages were replaced at the same time.-Belt tensioner is from an LS2 engine and has higher sides to prevent the belt potentially slipping off.-Clutch slave cylinder, as well as adding a remote bleeder with a speedbleeder to make bleeding the clutch easier in the future since it is inside the torque tube. -Recently replaced all lights in the climate control due to several no longer working.-Climate control dimming has also been fixed.-Heads up display had fallen down as is common and has been repaired as well.-Several relays for power locks in the door control module have been replaced. I have a few extras if you want them.-Turn signal blinker relay was added in the dash because of a common issue with the 4 way switch going bad for just the signals. The 4 way still works, but the blinkers no longer go through the switch.-Front turn signal housings due to cracking. Still have the originals if you want them for some reason.-A strip of foam insulation material was added under the front center of the hood to keep the engine a little cleaner.-Window motors had been replaced before I had gotten it but I have had to replace the drivers side again.-Headlight motors were replaced before I got it as well.-Recalls related to the steering lock were done before I got it. I believe the pin was completely removed. Steering does not lock when the car is off.-Comes with a set of homemade jacking pucks and cup holder as well. Current problems/annoyances:-Tint has a small mark/tear on the drivers side from leaving the door panel off too long and still using the window. The edge of the regulator was dragging along the window as it moved up and down because the door panel wasn't on. -Window air leaks at highway speed. Likely the windows need adjustment. It was fine before, but I haven't tried to fix it.-Plastic trim above the doors is cracked. Super common on C5's and a hassle to replace as its part of the windshield trim. It doesn't affect anything other than appearance. Every C5Z I looked at had them cracked in the same place.-Memory for the side mirrors sometimes makes the left go low. I just adjust it back up if it does. It doesn't move unless the button is pressed. Not sure what the problem is.-It pops out of first gear if it isn't fully engaged. You can feel it. Not sure what this is but it's been like this since I got it and hasn't affected anything. I make sure it's completely in gear if I'm stopped.-Lights flicker at night if the radio is up too loud because of the amp.-Trunk doesn't always pop up enough to open it easily. I added a spring and it still doesn't always work well. Maybe if it was used more it would be fine. Common issue as well though. Closing the door when the windows are up usually helps.-Rims are hard to keep clean. I would have upgraded to ceramic pads but the brakes were replaced shortly before I got it and they're still good. -Metal shift knob gets hot in the sun. Everything I know about it should have been mentioned. I should have receipts for anything that has been replaced. Any questions, don't hesitate to ask. I have two sets of keys for it. Also includes the original owners manual and 3 book service manual set. Located in Kenly, NC. About 45 minutes or so from Raleigh. Autocheck is showing 6 owners. I'm actually the 5th. The registration at 41k was the previous owner moving from Florida to Missouri. It comes up on Carfax stating "Registration updated when owner moved the vehicle to a new location." Not sure what happened with the duplicate titles for me. I've never had to get a new one.
