Vehicle Detail
1996 Ford E350 Quigley 4x4 Cargo VanExceptionally tight and clean with no rust and no rattles. Powerful, reliable 7.5L 460 CID V8 gas engine. Rare to find in this condition with this engine. 157,268 miles as of 7/19/18. Factory 4x4 conversion by Quigley Motor Co. Well maintained, 2nd owner, same owner since 1999. Low mileage for year, average of under 7500 miles per year. Van was originally purchased from a California dealer, but has been registered and based in dry climate Nevada since 1998. No oil or grease drips, never wrecked, never smoked in, AC blows cold, no rust other than areas of normal surface corrosion on frame and undercarriage typical of any vehicle of this age. Always driven by owner, never used commercially. Original white paint is in good shape except roof where paint has flaked off in some areas of roof channels and gutters, see photos. Standard length body with short rear overhang for the ultimate in maneuverability and off-road capability. Mechanically near perfect, has no significant issues (all known minor issues are listed below). Note that I put the original hub caps on for the photos, but I’ve actually had them off for years because they rattle due to their design. Nevertheless, they are included if you want to use them.Known cosmetic & minor mechanical issues:Driver’s Lower Seat Cushion is worn on entry side (see photos)Paint in some roof channels & gutters has flaked off (see photos)Small dent left rocker panel (2”x7”, see photos)Small scrape left fender well (3”x6”, see photos)Very shallow scratch in sliding door (3”, see photos)Driver’s side power mirror does not work for horizontal, works for vertical (easily adjustable by hand)Center rear (upper) brake light does not workCruise control does not work“Auxiliary” Battery is dead (not a starting battery, not sure of purpose - replaced back in 2000, but has no function in the van’s current configuration & eventually died from old age).We had always planned to convert this van to a “Sportsmobile” type off-road camper, and have actually done lots of camping in it as is, however we recently purchased a small motorhome and no longer use the van for camping, so time to find a new home. Have clear title in-hand.This van is completely serviced, cleaned up and ready to go right to work or play as is, or serve as the perfect foundation for converting to a compact and highly-maneuverable off-road adventure machine. This is a solid, tight, strong-running and well-handling van with many good miles left in it.For brief demonstration of engine startup, please see YouTube video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z-eXxzE5k90Prefer local pickup with cash payment.
