An interesting Studebaker Pickup. 1962 Champ Short Bed. Only 600 miles on the rebuilt 259 V8 engine. 4 speed on the floor transmission. 4.09 rear end. All chrome was plated, new instrument clusters, rebuilt original radio, new brakes, seatbelts, new rubber, (except windsheild), Ca. year of manufacture, (YOM) plates, new tires, and much more. Original Gem Green color that was re-painted a blue/green metallic. Auction house that sold it before I bought it was not sure if it was an original track truck for Lyons Drag Strip or a "tribute" truck. I don't have information either way. I just love the color, the patina, and the lettering. There are some rust bubbles shown in the pictures, (lower driver door, lower edge of tailgate and parts of the bed). Easy to repair, but I did not want to alter the appearance. $500.00 deposit required within 48 hours of Auction close. On Jul-11-18 at 20:43:36 PDT, seller added the following information: I added a picture showing the serial number on the door post. I have been told that the short bed truck is actually a 7E7 as indicated in the tag.
