1951 Zundapp: The DB 201 was modeled after the wartime DB 200. The major addition was the telescopic fork. I picked this bike up last year in Texas. I cleaned it up, added a new rear light, upper chain guard and tire pump. I also added a repro battery holder and battery box, hand grips and foot peg grips. I added the side mirror and the license plate is from the DDR. When I received the bike the center stand was cracked and I had it welded and it works fine. The bike is very clean with no leaks. The original head badge is there and legible. Note that the Frame Number and Motor number do not match. I cleaned the BING Carburetor several times. The kick starter spring snapped and has been replaced with an original spring. The bike starts, the kick starter needs to be adjusted. Also, needs a new throttle cable which can be found on eBay DE from a dealer and shipped to the USA. I have two other vintage German bikes that I will placing up for auction. I am selling these because I have no interest in the hobby anymore and I am retiring out West. The mileage most likely is original to the frame, but not the motor. I do not have a Title for this bike. This bike was won at an auction in Germany by an Air Force Serviceman and shipped home to Texas in the 1990?s. I have the paperwork, operator?s manual and parts catalog for it. They are in German. It comes with extra parts. Winner is responsible for shipping and or pick up.
