I'm selling my 2006 1/2 Kia Optima LX. I cannot afford to fix it. It either has a blown head gasket or needs an entirely new motor put in. It was my daily driver and I purchased it brand new from the dealer in October of 2006. I had 1 major accident where I was side swiped by another driver. All the repairs were done by the Kia dealership. I had 1 minor accident where I was rear ended at a stop sign. The rear bumper was replaced. The wheel covers are cracked, the passenger rear accessory window is missing. I locked my keys in the trunk and had to "break into" my car to get into the trunk to get my keys. Needless to say, this car is a fortress to break into and it took 4 hours to get my keys out! So....it is a very safe vehicle. The roof has minor damage from a ton of snow sliding off a roof onto the roof of the car. It is dented but it does not affect anything on the interior. The AC does NOT work. It needs the clutch assembly and then it will work again. It got 34 MPG on the highway and 28-30 MPG in town. It does need work and it DOES NOT RUN OR DRIVE at present. If someone can fix her up, she will be a great daily driver and a safe car for a teenager or ????Please feel free to ask questions. The battery was new 2 years ago and then the car died. The battery will charge but will NOT hold a charge. The tires are newer-put on about 2-3 months before car died.
