Selling this 1985 Volkswgaen Vanagon, Westfalia, full camper. It has a rebuilt Tiico 2.0 liter that may need a headgasket. Less than 250 miles on the conversion. Owner drove it to the dog park and noticed smoke coming out the rear and had it towed home where it sat until I rescued it. Selling for NO RESERVE. Here is what I do know about the Westfalia. Body is clean with the exception of two spots on the lower windshield cowl. Windshield is cracked. Dash has crazing and small hair line fissures. Nothing too major. It may be a coolant line, I have not checked it out throughly. I did not see any coolant in the oil nor is there any milky substance in the coolant tank. I am being honest in what I see. At this point, I am telling everyone that it may need a headgasket replacement. The interior in nice and clean. The door is missing off the cabinet by the fridge. The front table is missing and it will need a new pop top tent. Other than that, it is clean and will make some mechanically inclined buyer a good camper. I will charge the battery so it can drive up or a trailer. However, whoever buys this Westfalia should be advised that it must be towed and cannot be driven. With that out of the way, let the auction begin on this Tiico converted Westfalia. Any and all inspections welcome during the auction period. There will be no post auction inspections allowed. With all my auction's, a few requirements. First and foremost, NO PAYPAL. Seller has represented vehicle to the best of his knowledge and also makes no representation to the condition of the vehicle that is not known to him at the time of sale. I will answer them here. It will drive up on a transport or trailer. The interior is clean and smoke free. The seams are clean. The lower front end is clean. I checked the compression and it is 90, 80, 60 and 50. That to me would indicate a head gasket leak in between cylinder 3 and 4. The conversion according to the receipt and current owner shows no more than 250 miles on the Tiico conversion. Good luck to all and keep the questions coming.
