Up for sale is my 1983 380SL Mercedes-Benz. Two-top convertible. Clean NY Title in my name. I'm the 3rd owner of this beautiful convertible. Comes with a hardtop and soft. The soft top frame needs a little work. Interior is good with no rips or cracks in the leather. Very comfy. A little rust on the car and bubbling by the gas cap and front head light. Typically areas on these cars. Could make a great restoration project with limited energy. Car starts up every time. New battery, rims as well as filters. Tires have good tread left as well. This vehicle runs. However, one of the pistons is making a clicking noise. It will start cold everytime, but I have not been running it as I have not had the time to get it looked at, and don't want to mess with the engine. Carpets are good. The sun visors will need new clips. Possibly a new wooden back rest for the drivers seat as its coming off a bit. Passenger seat is perfect. This vehicle does need some TLC and a new owner to bring it back to its former glory. It has not been driven for about a year now. A used motor was replaced in the car about 5 years ago with about 100,000 miles on it so the odometer does not read the actual mileage on the replacement motor (I have the bill). The timing chain was replaced as well. Floor boards have some rust (not rotted). The transmission was also worked on a few years ago for over $2,000 in labor costs.
