This 2002 Dodge Ram 2500 extra cab 4x4 SLT Sport Cummins Turbo Diesel 6 Speed is selling No Reserve. The truck has 159,995 miles. Miles might go up slightly as I’m driving it this week. This truck was purchased by my friends father in 2002 and he has owned it since then. He is the second owner it was purchased nearly New from the local dodge dealer. This truck was maintained and cared for extremely well. Redline fluids always used, he serviced it always and basically the truck was his baby. This truck hasn’t been worked. Never plowed or anything like that. Video link to the truck at the bottom of this write up The fathers good friend owned a Linex Dealer so about 12 years ago he had the lower section of the truck done along with the bed. Of course the formula they used back then that made Linex has changed a great deal compared to today’s formula. I actually spoke to the linex dealer and he explained that to me as when I went to him about a few areas that were lifting up from all those years. Linex actually gaurentees the truck for the life of the truck so basically you are protecting your truck from rust and it’s a lifetime warranty (where else can somebody get that done). When he was going to repair the few lifted areas he said the new formulas are much darker so of course I had the whole thing redone. In the photos you can see where they removed the lifted areas and went over it. Very hard to notice but I included pics so you can see it. Linex will not apply over rust obviously so the truck wasn’t rusted. It looks very sharp! New formula is deep black and he said it doesn’t fade like the older formula. Money well spent! The frame is also as clean as somebody could ever hope for. The truck runs, drives, shifts, stops amazing. I absolutely love driving it! No complaints! Goes through the gears very smoothly. The owner of the truck is 54 years old so it never was hot rod modded or driven like that. A few extras were done on the truck for his 50th birthday. They added MBRP full exhaust, cold air intake and edge computer for better mpg. It also has had a Fass lift pump installed for a number of years along with bilstein suspension which offers a nice ride. The 17” wheels and tires are a very nice touch as well. Again the truck was never abused or driven hard. He’s one of those older fathers that like to look sporty but all looks. Non smoker, newer stronger clutch was done last year to replace the factory clutch because he felt it was time to be done even though the factory clutch was fine. The truck has 3:55 gearing. The factory dash had cracks so they installed a dash cover, looks great. Basically this is the truck to own. The new owner will love this truck it’s one of the nicest I’ve seen especially for the northeast. You know when an owner really cares for their truck. The close up pic I took where the hood and fender meet show the paint was chipped and now touched up because a small screw was in it and the vibration over time chipped it.
