I just bought this car last month after my BMW got totaled. I have since had to start driving from Flagstaff to Phoenix once or twice a week on top of commuting to and from school. Because of this I am looking to get a hybrid as I'm putting on 4,000 miles a month. Same owner since 2008 This XJ is fully loaded with navigation, factory Alpine 12 speaker sound system with subwoofer, two-screen rear DVD player, rain-sensing wipers, automatic headlights, sunroof, and dual-zone climate control. AC and heat work great. The car starts up and runs great with no leaks. Brakes are good, transmission shifts smoothly, smooth idle. New front air suspension. Very quiet and smooth ride Check engine light is on due to code shown in above picture. Also, after driving on the highway for a bit the car will say "Gearbox Fault". I don't know if these are related to each other, but there are no symptoms with either problem whatsoever. The car continues to run and shift smoothly regardless so it must just be a bad sensor. I drive this car both in town and on the highway a lot and in the intense Phoenix heat and the car always runs as normal with no issues. Cons: 96 Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE Front bumper has invisible plastic shield to protect is from paint chips. It is old and is peeling now so needs to be removed. In the picture it looks like the paint is peeling, but it’s just the plastic cover. Paint is faded on front of roof Will need two front tires soon (has full size spare with new tread) Needs slight alignment Tint is peeling off front driver and passenger side windows Clicking sound coming from right front tire I get compliments on this car all the time and hate to see it go.
