Starts right up every time! Daily driver and rolling restoration. I have owned this car for a year during which time i have had the diesel tank boiled out and all new fuel lines installed, new timing chain, and crank pulley repaired by a shop. I have also installed rebuilt injectors with the Monark nozzles, new glow plugs, rebuilt the vaccuum pump, set vacuum wiring back to factory spec, installed new brake pads, new brake fluid, and brake pads with new flexible brake hose all around, new head unit and speakers (i will include factory head unit with sale). I have recently changed out the engine mounts with new ones. The car will come with valves recently adjusted and oil recently changed.Brand new tires all around!I'm constantly looking for more ways to improve this car, but the last shop I took it to told me to just drive it. Any shop I've taken it to me tells me that this car will keep going forever and has many more miles left on it. The harmonic balancer was installed 180 degrees off at some point and it leaks/burns a little oil as usual. 60k miles are on the working odometer, but it had to have been reset at some point. Everything on the dash works except the clock. All electric windows go up and down, but the rears are skipping teeth and clunking. plastic switch for the rear passenger window flies off, so I push the contact points with my finger to operate it. Power sunroof works but is a little slow and sticky. I have spent a lot of time and money on this car and drove it daily for the past year working out any major problems it had- my loss is your gain. I recently drove it on a 1000 mile trip to the beach with no issues. A recent coolant flush, new thermostat and new water pump means its hangs out just above the 80 degree C mark, sometimes climbing up to near the 100 mark in traffic, but never above and never overheating.
