Vehicle Detail

Correct matching number Porsche 912E and the original factory color was black. Stunning New glossy black paint.Has original 4 cylinder air cooled 86hp Porsche engine. Runs and drives great!. Has upgraded Pertronix electronic ignition. Porsche prices are going up every month due to high demand for the classic styling. The 912E has all the classic look and charm of the '76' 911, but for about half the price. Nicknamed 'The Poor Man's Porsche'. High retail book on this car is $31,600 compared to $57,500 for a '76' 911. This is an affordable Porsche classic sports car with charm. This car was in storage for 15 years. All of the fuel and oil systems were flushed/replaced. This car was virtually rust free when painted. Only two small areas of rust under the sills that were replaced with new metal. Glass is desirable original factory tint, but no A/C. Smooth shifting 5 speed transmission. All new light lenses front and rear. All lights work. Correct original factory Fuchs wheels with Falken radials.Usually kept in garage, except on beautiful days, but could be a daily driver. Odometer reads 119,405, but actual is unknown. Speedometer works, but odometer has not worked since I have owned it. I ordered new matching seat covers, but as you can see the color is not an exact match to original. It still has the original muffler and it will eventually need replaced. I purchased a new 914 muffler that I will include, but I did not want to replace the original. The dash, instrument panel, door panel and back seats are in very good original condition. This is just a great car to cruise up to McCall in and it turns heads everywhere I go. Just listed locally for $27,500 and reserve the right to sell locally. The only reason I am selling is to purchase a Porsche Boxster S. My Porsche 912E has been maintained by Hans at European Motorsports of Idaho in Nampa, since I have owned it. On May-18-18 at 21:46:07 PDT, seller added the following information: Several people have asked about the paint job. The car was taken down to bare metal then base coats of black Diamont were applied followed by a Glasurit clear coat. In person, this paint has depth and superb gloss. Black may be the most difficult color to paint correctly. If the body is not perfectly straight, all flaws become glaringly apparent. This paint job was done by a master painter who has won multiple Best in Paint awards at the annual Boise Roadster Show. Hopefully this addresses the questions on paint. It was done right and it shows. On May-26-18 at 18:18:24 PDT, seller added the following information: Last week a local Porsche collector/restorer came to look at the car and noticed that the right rear tire had unusual wear to it. Upon closer inspection, he felt the right rear toe in rear alignment was not correct. The car was immediately taken to the mechanic who confirmed that the right rear axle was worn and would not retain correct alignment properly. Both right and left side new rear axles were ordered and installed. The vehicle had a complete and thorough 4 wheel alignment and the Falken tires were replaced with 4 brand new Cooper radials that were correctly balanced. The issue was correctly resolved. The car is located in Meridian, Idaho near Boise. If desired, the Porsche could be driven to the Boise airport for the successful bidder and it could be driven home, if the bidder is within driving distance. Will also work with a transport company for shipping in the US or abroad. Several people have asked if I would be willing to add a Buy It Now price, but it seems that eBay will not allow it at this stage of the auction. Perhaps, it is because it is past the reserve amount or due to the short time until the close of auction. Good luck! All the bidding occurred during the first 12 hours of the auction. It looks like everybody is waiting until the last 5 minutes of the auction to place final bids. I believe you will be satisfied with the cosmetic and mechanical condition of this car, as represented. Thanks for the interest. It appears that this car will be going to a new home. I did not realize that this car was only produced in 1976 and the 2099 produced were only available in the US market, not in Europe. I have attempted to reply to all questions, but eBay seems to be having technical difficulties with replies. A message pops up that says Sorry, but something went wrong!
