Vehicle Detail

1971 Trans Am. Real Deal, 1 of 885 4-Speed transmission cars made. I am the 3rd owner. It has been in Utah its whole life. It was sold new on 12-30-70 at Stoker Motors in Tooele, Utah. The 2nd owner bought it in the mid 70’s and I purchased it 3 years ago. I have the original build sheet from under the front seat (see pics). The car came new with all the good stuff like 455 HO engine, M-22 Rock Crusher, Power steering, power breaks, full gauge package, big sway bars, front power disc brakes, shaker hood, dual exhaust, jack and pace saver spare (original). It was treated to a rotisserie restoration. It’s super solid, very tight, a blast to drive, no shakes or rattles, the scoop is functional. The doors close like they should with no sagging. I have $1000’s of dollars in receipts. I have a clear title in my name. The engine and trans have been replaced and are not the originals. The engine is a 1974 455 CI Pontiac that has been completely rebuilt with Keith Black parts. The Trans is an early 70’s Muncie M-21. The rear end is original to the car. I hadn’t planned on selling the car so there are a few items that still need doing to finish the restoration. It needs a correct fan shroud, the chrome pieces that hold the visors (I have the visors), the correct dual snorkel air cleaner ($317) at Classic Industries, rear seat belts, radio, and shift knob, drivers door arm rest. All the gauges work perfectly except the tach which reads low. The door panels are actually 1972 but I have some of the harder parts to come by and they will be included. This is a great car!! I wish I could keep it.
