Selling my 1983 380SL. This car has been sitting for about 4 years now but still works. The seats got destroyed as there was a rip in the soft-top. Carpet is in good condition. This car would make an excellent project car as it only has 96k miles and two owners. It ran great four years ago but will most likely need a new exhaust, two seats, top (frame is okay), filters and brake pads. That is my guess as I do not have enough time to bring it back to its former glory. The Positive: the radio works, rims are in good shape, trim is in good shape, all chrome/bumpers are in good condition and very straight, body is straight with limited rust, AC Works, antenna works, windows work, lights work. I just hooked up a battery to it and put new gasoline into it and the engine turned over instantly and started but died soon. Could be a number of things but I can't imagine anything major as it was running. I just do not have enough time to go through the car. In parts alone you could probably salvage this car for at least $1500. Floors are solid. Underneath the car is fine. If your planning on restoring this car, it will need new seats, tires, brake pads, a paint job and a loving home. Car is sold "as is". If you have any questions feel free to reach out.
