1973 vw thing i purchased this from an old lady who used to drive it with her husband.her husband past away and the car sat for many years.before the car was stopped custom-built 1900cc engine, blueprinted with counterbalanced roller-bearing crank, light flywheel, BugSpray carburetor, and external spin-on oil filter.i have done the following since ive purchased it,new brakes with hoses new rubber fuel hoses new fuel tank with sending unit new bosch generator new bosch voltage regulator new accelerator cablenew fuel pumpnew coilnew stainless steel exhaustbrand new NOS very rare replacement header bow was very expensive but its worth every penny the interior is all original including the seat upholstery,factory seat cushions,dash padding,radio,sun visors etc.i personally love the wood work on this thing it has a gorgeous tone and looks stunning my opinion. the exterior of the car is really straight. original paint,all original metal, original bumpers, original top,original windows, original rims, original hub caps. the canvas needs replacement with header bow. i've driven the car around the neighborhood it drives very smooth and straight, shifts through all gears smooth,has an oil temp gauge works,speedometer works. the gas gauge seems stuck but i never looked into it. radio works and i think the cb radio as well.brake lights reverse lights ,lights,turn signals all work theres some rust in the front trunk area as pictured. i've done my best to describe the car if you have any questions please ask. ive made 2 videos one is a walk around with engine on.second video is actually starting up the car and driving down the road i reached like 50 mph with ease. it has the gas heater present i've never tried it but i did close off the t fitting that connects to the gas tank not needed in Miami. thank you happy bidding i've added my photobucket link please copy and paste to your web browser to view additional pictures and the 2 videos. vehicle is being sold as is where is with no warranty. this is still a project vw thing as it could use a paint job if so desired,canvas top etc. a deposit of $500 non-refundable due within 24 hours of auction end. remaining balance due within 6 days after deposit. remaing balance is to be paid either wire transfer,paypal (buyer pays fees),cash.On May-07-18 at 10:11:11 PDT, seller added the following information: please copy and paste each link to your web browser 1. this link is for 79 photos of vw thing http://s44.photobucket.com/user/miguelcamino25/library/ 2. this link is for the walk around in youtube photobucket no longer accepts videos https://youtu.be/Z5RdgTFgFyI 3. this link is for the drive around https://youtu.be/aJHVJj9L138 let me know if you would like any other photos thank you On May-12-18 at 06:10:59 PDT, seller added the following information: i have an update due to many questions.the gas gauge is currently now working and very accurate,speedometer works as well,the odometer works,the generator charging light works,the oil pressure light works,the map light in the glove box work, the windshield wipers work,all lights work,turn signals,tag light,brake lights,headlights,high beam,reverse lights,hazard lights work including the light inside the knob,oil temperature gauge works,both cb radio and regular radio turn on.
