Vehicle Detail
1978 Ford Bronco. This is a former California truck that I've owned for 2 years. With a 2 year old baby, we just don't have the time to enjoy/improve it. Body is in great shape as far as rust. It does have some dents, and has a pretty terrible paint job on it, but it looks fantastic as far as rust for its age. There is a small amount of rust at the bottom of the tailgate. The drip rails have been shaved above the doors, but I have replacement drip rails that will go with the truck off of a donor roof. Floors are very solid. Truck needs no body panel replacement. Drivetrain- 460 Ford with 4v carb, Ford Motorsport aluminum valve covers, L&L long tube headers. Runs great, is reliable, and holds great oil pressure. Does need a water pump to block gasket (common 460 issue, $2.49 part, easy fix). 4 speed manual transmission- everything works as it should. Needs a front outer axle (drivers short side) due to a u-joint breaking. Quick fix, and I have replacement axle and u joint that goes with (also have spare for other side). Outer axle bearing on rear end needs replaced as well- driver's side. You can see where the seal is failing, and it is marking the inside of the driver's side rear tire with oil. Dana 44 front axle, Ford 9" rear axle. Rear axle does have a new Richmond gear set that has less than 200 miles on it. Interior- pretty spartan. The stock tan vinyl front and back seats are in great shape. No carpet.. Rear power window works. Dash pad is cracked. Suspension- dual front shocks, dual rear shocks, dual steering stabilizers. All shocks are Rancho RS5000. Not sure of lift height, but it is all spring lift- no cobbled together blocks. Also has 3" body lift. Think I've hit everything pretty thoroughly in the description.
