Vehicle Detail

1987 Toyota 4Runner--$9,800 Thank you for checking out this sweet ride. In the eight months I have owned this truck, I have put on 5000 enjoyable miles. This car needs nothing. Get in, turn the key, drive it cross-country. The mechanicals are 100%. Armed with solid tires, a new rear suspension, and fresh fluids, this truck is ready to tackle awaiting any kind of terrain—from deep snow, mud, and rocks, to smooth paved roads. Details: --Mechanical systems are all sound. --4-wheel high and low ranges both function perfectly. You may hear gripes about auto hubs in Toyota forums. I have had no problems engaging and disengaging them throughout the winter. --Rear brakes done within the past eight months. Front pads have 50% remaining. --I had the alignment done recently. The truck tracks perfectly straight down the highway. --New throttle position sensor and idle adjustment screw protected with Teflon tape. No more idle-surging. I also had the throttle body removed, cleaned, and adjusted. --New exhaust system in the past eight months. --New halogen headlamps --The steering shaft squeaks a bit on big turns. Has nothing to do with the power steering equipment, but rather a part of the shaft closer to the steering wheel. In no way does this affect drivability. --Body: I had the hood repainted six months ago as well as the roof over the cab. The rest of the paint is completely original. There are dings and scratches consistent with a 31 year-old car, but no rust bubbling or tears. --Glass: I installed a new windshield when I got the truck painted. I also replaced the chrome surrounding the windshield. --Tires: Lots of tread—drive it in any weather. --Fluids: Motor oil, transfer case, transmission, coolant, and rear axle were all changed within the past eight months. --Interior is near perfect. Check out the burgundy seats—a throwback to the 80s. I put new leather on the armrest. I fixed the heater control valve. Climate control functions perfectly. I had the speedo rebuilt, too. All the lights function as they should. The analog inclinometer and altimeter are both perfect (how cool is that??). --Rear end: I replaced the rear wiper arm with a new one (very hard to find). The rear wiper and washer system both function perfectly. The rear window motor also works from both inside (via a panel switch) and outside key. You will notice some surface rust spots on the rear chrome. If you cannot see them in the pics, I can gladly take more for you. There are plenty of replacement rear bumpers on line should you choose to turn this into a showcase truck. You will also notice a scratch on the rear glass from years of up/down use. The 22R-E engine has built a longstanding reputation for durability and reliability. This truck is primed to go another 200K miles. The engine idles and revs smoothly. As you know, the 22R-E has a timing chain, so no worries about a snapping belt and resulting valve damage. While I don’t have evidence to prove it, I’m sure the clutch is less than 25K miles old. It grabs as it should with no shudder or slip whatsoever. Price: I have invested well over the “Buy It Now” amount. I have plenty of receipts from the work I’ve done including the paint. Inspections: You and/or your mechanic are most welcome to inspect the truck. Please do so, however, prior to making your bid. Questions: Feel free to email via Ebay or call at 303-929-8667. If there is a specific photograph you would like, just let me know. Please note, the car is for sale locally for the buy-it-now price. Should someone purchase the car locally, then I reserve the right to end the auction. On Apr-25-18 at 14:43:10 PDT, seller added the following information: This truck is a LEFT hand drive, not right as noted in the description. Therefore, bidders in Britain should probably take note. On Apr-29-18 at 08:53:13 PDT, seller added the following information:
