Selling my 1959 Town Wagon that I have owned for 25 years. I'm getting too old to work on it, and it needs to be saved while it can still be restored. It is extremely rare. They made less than 6000 of these trucks in a 10-year production run. The 1957-60 short wheelbase models are even more unique. It has factory 4x4, consisting of the following bomb-proof components: "Granny gear" NP 435 4-speed transmission Divorced NP 95060 transfer case (similar to NP 205), with winch PTO Dana 60 limited slip rear axle, 8 lug, full-floating, 4.10 gears Dana 44 closed knuckle front axle, locking hubs Non-original 1969 340 4-barrel engine, steel crank, with towing cam, Holley 4-bbl Goodyear 36" Wranglers on Outlaw 2 aluminum rims This truck is a factory built tractor with a panel truck body on it. It is NOT a highway cruiser with DVD and navigation. The engine fires up instantly, runs and idles well. The 4x4 system works as it should. The mileage is low because it was a forestry truck, and used mostly off-road. The body is getting rusty from the Florida climate and needs total restoration. Driver's side floor, cab mounts, and drip rails will all need work. The tires have a lot of tread, but are dry rotted and wouldn't be safe on the highway. I have 90% of the original chrome trim, which has been wrapped in newspaper for 25 years and not exposed to the sun or rain, included with the sale. Included in the sale are the original 60/40 front bench seat, 2 extra 1959 D400 front fenders, 2 extra rear doors, winch frame extension, Ramsey PTO winch (incomplete), gas tank skid plate, 2 original 17.5" wheels, original chrome, and many miscellaneous parts. Buy it to restore, or put a quick coat of paint on it and park in front of your business. Or just go wheelin'! No scammers. I will not accept a deposit and then pay your "shipper".
