Up for auction is this Classic 1985 Jeep CJ7. I recently purchased this Jeep (3/16/2018) from a New Chrysler/Jeep dealership here in North Carolina. It was taken in on trade towards a new Wrangler. As explained to me from the dealer sales manager rep. this was a two owner jeep at the time of trade in. I tried to acquire the information of the 2nd owner to verify history but due to The Drivers Privacy Protection Act (DPPA) the dealership would not release previous ownership information. Under the same DPPA neither will the NCDMV. As best as I can verify, the Jeep indeed was originally purchased in Charleston South Carolina in 1985 (see Original Charleston Dealer Badge Photo), taken to Georgia and then ended up in Charlotte North Carolina in 2009 with what appears to be the second owner. This awesome classic has been meticulously taken care of through its 33 years. Both owners obviously we're very picky and peculiar about this vehicle as reflected in the photos (see attached exterior, interior, under hood and chassis photos). As explained to me, this beautiful example of a CJ7 has had one original color repaint (charcoal metallic) and has only 54,900 original miles. The motor runs great and is the most quiet running motor of all the 6cyl CJ's I've ever had. No leaks of any kind. The old carter carburetor has been upgraded to a weber carburetor with fuel flow control. Anyone that knows about the old carter carburetor system knows the weber upgrade is a PLUS! Practically eliminates the old "cold natured first start of the day hassle". As reflected in the photos this awesome jeep is in excellent condition sporting its original steel tub, floors, tailgate, doors, fenders, hard doors and hard top. I have used a magnet all over the exterior and have not been able to find or see rust of any kind or bondo repair anywhere. This CJ7 also has the original seats in excellent condition (black in color) with fairly new seat covers to protect the original seats. She comes equipped with roll bar padding, Quadratec quality floor mats, power steering, front wheel disc brakes, tires and rims in new condition and factory AC. Yes! factory AC that has been charge updated and works great! All gauges, switches and odometer cluster works perfect. In the last 2 weeks, I have added the following accessories: Silver Metallic Decals, Polished (stainless steel grill) cover, polished (SS) rocker trim, polished (SS) exterior mirrors and front frame JEEP cover (between the grill and front bumper). This is one awesome! Jeep CJ7 and is a complete joy to drive. No disappointments at all with this Jeep. GOOD LUCK BIDDING!!!
