What we have here is a true sophisticated German Roadster. No expense was spared by Mercedes-Benz when they built the 560SL, and it shows. 32 years later this car still feels fresh. Purchased new in Beverly Hills, California this car spent most of it's life in the 90210 district until it was shipped here by the previous owner and rarely used but for pleasurable drives around the island. Excellent driver with ice cold air conditioning. This is an all original 1986 Mercedes 560SL Roadster presented in Royal Blue over Gray. Featuring both removable hardtop and canvas soft top. The car is in excellent running and driving condition and free of any rust. The paint is incredibly shiny and glossy. This car was garage kept and very well looked after. Comes with a large amount of provenance documents, from minor repair bills to smog inspections, even down to original registrations from the 1980's. Comes with the original factory tool roll, and even the original untouched Mercedes official first aid kit! A very low reserve has been set, so bid with confidence. Please take time to scroll through all the pictures, there are over 100 in total! The engine purrs nicely and was recently serviced by European Car specialists. Shows excellent compression and great oil pressure (3 bars on the gauge). No oil smoke or overheating whatsoever. The timing chain was replaced at around 115,000 miles and there are receipts to prove it. This car just needs to be driven. Currently has about 140,000 miles. Recently overhauled Air Conditioning with R134a Conversion, new seals etc... has receipts for the work. Ice cold A/C, fan can be a little loud on high speed. The transmission was recently overhauled and the receipts for the work will come with the car. Shifts fine and as expected. Recent complete brake overhaul with new discs/pads and new calipers, receipts included. The body is completely rust free as expected of a California car, the paint is incredibly nice and near perfect for its age, minor chips to be expected. The interior is in very good condition, it is 32 years old but there are no tears, but there is some wear in the corners as shown in the pictures, typical on these cars. The dash has a couple small cracks but hardly noticeable, I will include a free dashmat with the sale. Featuring both removable hardtop and canvas soft top. Soft top does have two tears along the rear window where it folds, see photographs. Vacuum power door locks all working. All gauges in functional order, even the telescopic antenna is working! Although this is a wonderful driver please keep in mind that it is 32 years old and there will be imperfections and little quirks that are normal for a car of this age.
