Wrangler has been a blast on and off road! It is an absolute beast off road and is fully set up as the perfect T.J. trail rig. It has Jeep's bullet-proof 4.0L six-cylinder engine that is well known for lasting over 250,000 miles and the NV3550 5 speed manual. The previous owner and I have made a lot of upgrades in the past couple years. The P.O. installed a 3" BDS Suspension lift with NX2 nitro shocks, tuned progressive springs, and JKS "Quicker" sway bar disconnects. The ride is better than stock while still giving great performance off road. The front lower control arms have been upgraded to a stronger tubular design which also gives you the ability to perfectly align the axle (which you can't do stock). It has 33x12.50-15 BFG all terrains in good shape with 40-50% tread life left. This TJ has the rarer factory Dana 44 trak-lok limited slip rear end, which is a huge plus off road. The front axle is the standard Dana 30. Mechanically, the Jeep is in good shape, drives great, and everything works as it should. I've added a new Savvy Offroad T6061 aircraft-grade aluminum gas tank skid plate to replace the factory one (which is barely sturdy enough to be considered a skid plate). This Savvy skid plate is universally regarded as the strongest skid plate in the industry, while actually being lighter than stock. It's adjustable as well, so you can gain more clearance by adding a body lift. I chose not to, since it already sits high enough for the 33" tires it has. The check engine light has been on for a while. The code says it's a vacuum leak in the fuel vapor re-circulation emissions system. Everything I've read says a new fuel filler cap makes it go away, but since it doesn't effect fuel economy or how it runs I haven't changed the cap. I could reset the light and not disclose it, but I want to be honest about everything up front. It has some rust spots in a few places if you look closely; specifically the bumpers and front fenders. The bumpers can easily be touched up with black spray paint. The frame was rusty, but the P.O. mostly cleaned that up and sprayed underbody coating where it shows. All of this is in line with the vehicle's age and the fact that TJ's seem to attract rust! With the 12.5" wide tires and wheel backspacing, this has a very wide stance for a TJ (more like a JK) which makes it very stable on hilly conditions. The fender flares are pretty new and are the largest available at 7 inches wide. They match the wheel width so you won't throw dirt or mud all over when your doors are off. Sitting on 15" rims means you can air the tires down for sand or dirt and still have plenty of tire left! This was originally a Canadian Jeep, so the dash is metric. It's the basically the same as the US dash except the big numbers on the speedometer are kph and the smaller numbers are mph (reversed in the US). The odometer also shows kms. I sold the winch and mounting plate that was on the front bumper, so it is completely drilled and ready for a new one if you decide it needs one. The sound system has been totally upgraded by the previous owner. The JVC head unit has dual bluetooth so both passenger and driver can have their phone paired at the same time to play music. The hands-free phone mic works surprisingly well and can be heard even with the top and doors off. All 4 speakers are new JVCs. The fronts were upgraded to 5.25 round 2 ways instead of the junky factory ovals. Rears were upgraded to 6.25 2 ways. A new Kenwood powered sub is hidden under the rear seat and has its own volume and LPF controller hidden next to the driver's seat. The current sound set-up is amazing right now! As far as maintenance, everything was done about a year ago. New air filter, both differentials fluid changed (with limited slip modifier in rear), transmission and transfer case fluid changed, new spark plugs. I just changed the oil and oil filter, and the battery and alternator were changed this winter to help it start easier. I was told the brakes were all done before I got it. I know that both the fronts and rears are quiet and work great. Both driveshafts have slight leaks at the seal into the diff (a little gooey, no dripping) but this is common for any Jeep this age and doesn't really hurt anything. The steering pump is gooey, but doesn't drip, as well. The 4WD transfer case works perfectly in high and low, but the gauge light does not turn on. The wheels/tires have been recently balanced and a full alignment was completed about a year ago. This P.O. sold the hard top when he got it, so it's set up for that if you want one. He replaced it with a new Rampage frameless top. This has a dual layer top section, so that you can quickly fold the side and rear windows up into the roof without fully removing them. Then you can run it as a bikini top with fully open sides but still have the sun protection. That's everything I can think of, but I'll update if I think of anything else. This Jeep is not perfect, but it's good for the age and mileage. It's been a blast for me, but I unfortunately don't have room for this and the Cherokee I'm building. If you have any questions, just ask! Pickup will be in Gothenburg, Nebraska, although it can be shipped at the buyer's expense. If you need quotes for freight, use Ebay's option or feel free to contact me, as I work with a company that ships nation-wide. Thanks and good luck bidding!
